Yeah, I think that he just needs to improve his shooting a little bit and get stronger. These two things are relatively easy to fix.

He is struggling fighting with starting PGs in the league, but I like him like a backup PG. It is not his fault that we do not have an starting PG.
He can lead a second unit and his defense improves if he can use all his energy in those 15-18 minutes per game.

It's not black or white regarding players. He is not an All Star but he belongs to the NBA.

He passes the ball to the other team. . .constantly. How is extra strength or better shooting going to help that? Man, you have to look at what is going on, on the court. He is a deer in the headlights. He constantly looks completely overmatched. Its not like Jackson or Bender who need to work on some aspects of their game.

I have not been a fan since we drafted him. I could not agree more.

Canaan at first glance could be our starting point guard based on todays roster.

Giannis was a guy that nobody, including the Bucks, ever expected to be all that good, let alone the best player in the draft class. Saying the Suns would have taken the consensus best player heading into the respective draft (like Simmons and Fultz were for the entire year leading up to the draft and at the time of the draft) if they had the top spot is NOTHING like that. It is hardly a reach at all.

My entire point is that saying if we didn't stick with the PJ Tuckers and the Tyson Chandlers of the world, we would have Simmons, Fultz, Embiid or whoever else is just an overly simplistic way of thinking. You still have the win the lottery. You still have to be in the right draft. You still have to have a consensus #1 pick. You could do everything right and you could still end up with the #3 pick and you could still end up taking the worst player out of the top 5.

You're simplifying it down to if we didn't do this, if we didn't do that, if we did this or if we did that then we would've had player X or player Y as if it's that simple. Had we ended up with the #3 pick in that Len draft, we may have taken Porter. Had we won the lottery, we might have even bought into the hype and took Bennett. Hell, imagine if Booker was off the board and Kaminsky, Turner or Lyles dropped. These are all player we may have seriously considered if they were still on the board instead of Booker. And sure, it's very likely we would've taken a year-long consensus #1 players like Simmons and Fultz had the lotto balls went our way but it didn't and we took the players we did at the draft position we were at in that particular draft.

What I'm saying is, to dumb it down to we *just* need to suck in a good draft and we'll likely have cornerstone of the franchise is just too simple. And what we've seen based on our current GM's drafting results is that he hasn't been as successful drafting in the top 5 as he has drafting in the the mid-late lotto.

He averages 2.0 TOs and 4.1 assists per game, so that is not true.

He lost the ball five times in this game, but in his three games before this last one he gave 13 assists and had only 2 TOs. Two turnovers in three games.

Agreed

His weaknesses were well documented before the draft and it was ALWAYS gonna be an uphill battle for him. Maybe I'm wrong but I always kinda felt the hype was built up after we drafted him mainly due his connection with our Lord and Savior Booker. Had he been drafted by some other team, we probably would've counted him out long before he even stepped foot on the court. Say what you want but to say he's anything more than unspectacular outside of that little run he had towards the end of last season would be an outright lie.
