Great loss...but the Hornets are worthless. Our streak could end with them...

Re: Game 67: Phoenix Suns (19-47) at OKC Thunder (37-29), Thursday, March 8, 6PM MST
The Chandler and Payton pairing
Payton's first 8 games (Chandler played only 1 game) - 17ppg, 7.8rpg, 7.5apg (.491FG%)
Last 3 games (Chandler played all 3) - 8.7ppg, 6.7rpg, 7.3apg (.305FG%)

Not saying it's ALL Chandler's fault but not having a 3PT shot and Chandler being slow and taking up space in the lane really hurts Payton's ability to get his high % points at the rim. My question is, do we need Chandler ? Chandler's last 3 games - 7.3ppg, 4.3rpg, 21mpg. Seriously, do we need him?

Pretty sure JJ walked off the court himself, I really don't think it'll be bad.

Had me a little spooked. Guys walk off with torn acls sometimes. Probably just some rookie wall fatigue. Its such a longer season than these rooks are used to. Might be a good idea to get him a game or two rest. No reason to run anyone into the ground in this crap season.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Hope Josh is okay. Loss was expected on the road against a real good team especially when Suns were down like 2 key players.
Liked the effort they showed before Jackson got injured though.

Just catching up on this one now - someone remind me why we continue to gift wrap the starting gig for Chandler when:
1) he provides minimal D and offensive pressure
2) he's old and not part of our long term success
3) we have young guys that continue to show flashes, who remain inconsistent because we keep giving them inconsistent roles
?

Maybe for tank purposes? McD said in his interview that they would play more Bender at the 5 in the last 15 games so we have a 5 that can stretch the floor to open it up more. We have enough players that defenses don't respect at the 3 pt line so they can just all cheat in the paint that having Chandler or Len in there just makes it worse. Even though defenders don't respect anyone else, all of our other wings and PFs at least have a better chance of spacing it than one of our bigs.

I highly doubt starting any combination of Chriss/ Bender/ Len will affect our win total at this juncture.

This is pretty much what I'm driving at, I just think it's poor that we've waited this long to do it.

It means admitting that Chandler is dead space, and that Len was a bust. Not an easy band-aid to pull. Plus, Dragan is only now starting to approach something like a normal build. He's still skinny af. I can see why they've hesitated, especially with Dudley and Chriss being our only options other than Bender at the 4.

The better question is why McD gave Chandler 4yrs contract knowing he will be old before it's ends.
This team is really unwatchable when Warren and JJ don't play. May as well just watch Booker's highlights and you will see everything that was worth watching.

I missed the game live, checked the score and decided to do just that.
We would have been in a really good situation right now if we had signed Chandler to a 3-year deal.

And for an amount which most didn't see him getting from other teams
