I guess that's where making the Doncic more difficult. Are we starting Booker/JJ/Doncic/TJ/Bender ? I get we're playing positionless basketball yada yada but that's a fair bit of overlap between what Booker/JJ/Doncic and to a lesser extent, TJ does.
I think even though TJ and Doncic can play some at the 4, even if you wanted to play them all a lot of minutes, you'd probably usually have at least one resting, and you'd want to stagger some of them as much as possible since you have 2-3 good playmakers there and 3-4 good scorers.
Doncic/Payton/Knight
Booker/JJ/Reed
JJ/TJ/Doncic
TJ/Quese/Doncic
Dedmon/Bender
would be good fun
IF TJ is hitting the 3. And put Shaq in there instead of Payton. I also hope that Quese and Bender improve a lot with a guy like Budenholzer (PLEASE) and they can play more minutes than it looks like they would here. But considering you have so many overlapping and we would have injuries I imagine they'd all get minutes.
I think we would play small and fast with that, and if everyone could hit the 3 and be adequate defensively it would be fun. I'd expect a vet PG though maybe.
We may add a vet PF through trade and FA but I would love to see a new coach work with our guys and see what they have and develop them. I don't want to overpay some guy and give up on someone when the may not have gotten proper coaching and are 20 or 21.
And we will add one or two other rookies in the draft probably but they would likely be more end of the bench guys....I'd love for it to be like Shake Milton and Gary Clark though....it would be great if Mitchell Robinson or Robert Williams would slide to 16 but that's doubtful.
