I guess that's where making the Doncic more difficult. Are we starting Booker/JJ/Doncic/TJ/Bender ? I get we're playing positionless basketball yada yada but that's a fair bit of overlap between what Booker/JJ/Doncic and to a lesser extent, TJ does.

I think even though TJ and Doncic can play some at the 4, even if you wanted to play them all a lot of minutes, you'd probably usually have at least one resting, and you'd want to stagger some of them as much as possible since you have 2-3 good playmakers there and 3-4 good scorers.

Doncic/Payton/Knight
Booker/JJ/Reed
JJ/TJ/Doncic
TJ/Quese/Doncic
Dedmon/Bender

would be good fun

IF TJ is hitting the 3. And put Shaq in there instead of Payton. I also hope that Quese and Bender improve a lot with a guy like Budenholzer (PLEASE) and they can play more minutes than it looks like they would here. But considering you have so many overlapping and we would have injuries I imagine they'd all get minutes.

I think we would play small and fast with that, and if everyone could hit the 3 and be adequate defensively it would be fun. I'd expect a vet PG though maybe.

We may add a vet PF through trade and FA but I would love to see a new coach work with our guys and see what they have and develop them. I don't want to overpay some guy and give up on someone when the may not have gotten proper coaching and are 20 or 21.

And we will add one or two other rookies in the draft probably but they would likely be more end of the bench guys....I'd love for it to be like Shake Milton and Gary Clark though....it would be great if Mitchell Robinson or Robert Williams would slide to 16 but that's doubtful.

He's 21 with a Twitter. Anyone can write for BSOTS if you work for free too.

He tweeted today that he thinks the Suns might take Deanthony Melton at 16. Guy is projected to maybe be there with our last 2nd round pick lol.

Don't we have to play defense, too? Who guards the "often little guy who handles the ball most of the time" on the other team?

Also, if Doncic's not the PG, is it Booker? Cuz I wasn't a big fan of that look, honestly.

We can't keep trying to hide more than 1 guy on defense so at least one of Booker and TJ have to step up if they are both going to start.

Defensively I see it as

PG: JJ
SG: Booker
SF: Doncic (early on)
PF: TJ
C: Bender

Doncic and TJ could swap

I think even if TJ shoots well it still may make sense to come off the bench. For all we know Bud if he's coach may like JJ off the bench in like the Iggy role. Of course that wouldn't work if he is guarding the PG. I think Doncic might end up being fairly good at sticking with PGs once he gets NBA training and grows out of the baby fat. He already can stay in front of people fairly well much of the time.

We mostly need great team defensive concepts, to guard the 3 pt line well and a defensive anchor at the rim to make sure if a PG drives by someone there is someone there to stop it.

Ultimately I don't see us ending up with Doncic. For some reason I don't see us landing at 2 and I think we land at 1, 3 or 4, but maybe that's just because that's how tankathon seems to spit it out the most. It shouldn't though, since I think our odds to get 2 should be higher than 3.

I wonder what chance there is we would take Bagley, or even JJJ or someone else at 2, or if another team would take one of those guys at 2 (assuming Ayton went 1).

We're still bad. We might get Mike Budenholzer to be our new head coach and have the best odds at #1 pick, so that's cool. Josh Jackson looked a lot better during the second half of the season. Devin Booker wants to win games, so I guess we're going to give that a shot now. That's about all that's worth talking about.

Whiteside averages 16-14-2 when he plays 25-34 minutes.

Pick 16, Chandler, Dudley.

*If we don't draft a big.

There's value in a vacuum but we lose cap flexibility and I'd prefer not to be handcuffed to $52m remaining for a C who's game is quickly getting passed by.

For once can we take Igors damn name off the poll.

Im sorry, i want to see people real reactions to the people that have been mentioned. Throwing in a guy who has been nowhere to be seen when it come to us is just stupid and throwing off the real results.

Take Igor off and put in Blatt.

Blatt is the next best candidate. Get him on that poll ASAP.

He interviewed with us because we asked. It shows the league that Atlanta is fine with him leaving and he is available. He will end up on a fringe playoff team and help push them over. Thats what he wants, not to be at square one with the Hawks or square 3 with us, but somewhere in that square 5-7 range, where he can come in and in a year or so be a playoff contender.

Another bad thing if he ends up with the Bucks is that pick likely gets a lot worse.

That pick was already doomed from the get go. Ive been telling people for months now that we want the pick this season, because bar a miraculous string of injuries, the Bucks arnt going to be worse for years to come. #17 in a great draft would have been great compared to a #25 in an unknown draft, specially when we already owned the pick right before #16.

"Oh, having it in the future is soooo much better because its unknown and therefor a better asset than the known #16". BS!
