Here they get an unadulterated view of what the fans think. Not just fans, but hardcore fans, the ones that dedicate small portions of their lives living and breathing and talking daily about Suns basketball. We are the ones that go to the games and cop the merch. From what i have been told in the past most teams have an area in the FO dedicated to reading fan boards to get an idea of what the fans really think. Not the "Oh you work for the Suns, let me kiss your ass" type of responses that they usually get, but real opinions on damn near everything Suns related. They also look at things like the Trade ideas or FA ideas to see if there is something or someone that they missed, someone they didnt even think of, find stats on someone that they didnt really know or didnt even think about. When you are running a multi-million dollar company like the Suns are, you want to make sure that you leave no stone unturned and no though un-thunk. You make sure to cover all the bases, and thats what they do. They use us in a sense as free workers, free idea makers, free statisticians. Im not saying they use any of it, but they definitely do their homework, and that includes doing as much research as they can.
This is 100% true. I brought up something one time and I got hounded in direct messages to delete my post. I will not talk about what i posted (wasn’t related to a player, trades, or anything rumor wise). I have a good feeling of who the person is in the organization. If your reading, I just want to say hi and to please hire me.
Of course they do.
Free ideas, free opinion polls, free XXX...
I can tell you, for what has happened to my European team, that the people on board for sure read us and get ideas. If not them, at least the press do it and bring ideas to them.
When injuries appeared, fans brought names to the table in order to get a replacement for the injured... no later than 48h in everycase those names were on the press and, more incredibly, some of them ended up on the team days later...
I do not know about the nba, but here in Europe there are people who know more about basketball than the professionals getting a salary for that. Some fans know a lot. And many professionals are crap...
What I do not know for sure is whether the information they get, in this case, can be useful. If it is against them, as it is, they can just ignore it and think we are ignorants.
I do not think McD or Sarver get what you say unless they in person read it.
