But if you want to make the playoffs he's simply not good enough to be on the rotation.
He is a poor man's Marcus Smart. Marcus Smart at least has the alpha mentality when it comes to defense and coming up with huge plays.
Elfrid Payton has put up 9 triple doubles and has come close to it a lot... He's got talent and smarts.
He can be a good rotation PG and brings that slower but more control ball movement that Suns lack.
