Season Tickets

Post#1 » by alldayeveryday » Fri Jun 22, 2018 7:33 pm

Anyone on this board season ticket holders? Thinking about making the plunge and doing the half-season membership that they offer:

https://www.nba.com/suns/tickets/sixthman/membership

Also saw this a few days ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/8suzkh/gambadoro_suns_offering_11game_pack_for_250_its/

Do any of you know the difference between purple/orange memberships? Any experience with the other benefits they offer such as outside events with the team, etc? Just trying to gather some information before I start speaking with a sales representative. (Also if you're a season ticket holder and have any type of referral to pass through that gives more business to someone you've worked with previously, please do let me know)

Appreciate it!

fwiw, and things may be different this year, but in the past 5 years or so I buy tix of craigslist on game day and ppl just giving them away for cheap like 1/2 price. Need to be savvy to avoid pros and scalpers and just find a family who doesn't have time to go to that day's game.

I was looking at the site for the half season package. You can get two seats in the lower bowl at center court 19 rows up. 22 home games for about 6 grand. Two ppl splitting 11 games for 3 g’s ain’t terrible considering you could make some of your money back. Those are great seats.

I've never really liked going to regular season games, the atmosphere is just way too casual and for that I'd rather just watch the game at home and not spend crazy prices for beer and bad food.

Playoff games are completely different and well worth the price of admission. I went to playoff games back in SSOL days and always went home without a voice. The Amare and Diaw suspension game was insane. Was a total bummer that they lost but was still an awesome game to attend.

Haha I went home from games last season without a voice. We'll be down by 20 and I'll be acting like it's game seven. I just had to adjust my mindset and enjoy the little things, like a simple ally oop in transition. I'll act like we just won the trophy in triple ot!

Haha! You're a better man than me. I would feel too awkward screaming like that at a regular season game.

It totally makes it fun. It also helps people around me loosen up. I talk smack to opposing players etc and people around me eventually will lose all their inhibitions and go nuts. Usually like when we're playing the Lakers there will be tons of opposing fans and we go at it in a friendly way. Then the Suns fans who had been quiet will feel compelled to jump in and get my back.
Let's face it, if you were in attendance at a Suns game last year you were a real fan; meaning no matter how quiet people are, deep down most of them have deep passion for the Suns and will totally defend me when Lakers fans come at me.

Also, when you're the only one yelling, the great thing is the entire arena can hear your every word. Which is nice in a self-gratifying kind-of-way. When I say something funny to clown an opponent and someone across the court from me laughs at it, its pretty awesome.

Also, if you travel to away games, something I like to do is scream in the middle of the "home" team's free throws because the entire stadium is dead silent. I used to live in Houston and I would go when the Suns were in town and the crowd would be all shushed for their free-throws and I would scream something very loud and very dramatic while the shooter was in mid-motion. Like, "oh my god! no!!!" at the top of my lungs in a desperate whaling tone. My boy visited me from New Orleans once and he witnessed me do this. PLayer air-balled a free throw and my boy swears it was because of me. Even Rockets fans would laugh at my theatrics. This was back in like TMac days.

Anyways, do it sometime. I try not to be obnoxious, but I definitely toe the line. Luckily I don't drink.
