Nashty & Cactus - Game 6 vs Thunder

Post#1 » by bwgood77 » Mon Oct 29, 2018 1:21 am

How it works

Spoiler:
Anyone can vote for the 3-2-1 (including other fans from other forums) but you can only vote for the Suns players (or coach).

3 votes to who you think was a the best Suns player.
2 for the second best
and 1 for the 3rd best.

**EDIT: as of January something-or-other 2017, you can now distribute votes for the Nashty and Cactus however you please. You have a total of 6 votes to give out, but now you have the freedom to do what you want with those 6. The only condition which applies is no more than 3 votes can be given to one player (or coach) in either award. **

In the event of a Suns loss, you are also encouraged to vote for the Cactus of the game:

-3 votes for the player most responsible for the loss
-2 votes for the second most responsible
-1 for the third most responsible

Any votes with more than 3 players listed and not in the required format will not count. Voting will close before the start of the next Suns game.

After the thread closes, the votes will be tallied. The highest scoring total Sun gets 3 points, the next 2, and the third gets 1 point towards their season total. In the event of a tie in a count for a game, if the result of the game is a Suns win, a maximum of 4 players will be awarded points. A tie in the event of a loss will only result in a maximum of 3 players getting awarded points.

The player with the highest total at season's end wins the award!

The same applies for the Cactus of the Year, although of course the lowest tally at year's end takes it.

Warren +3 most efficient outside of Okobo and 8 boards - and had no turnovers while most others had 3 or 4.
Okobo +2- not a bad game from a rookie - 7 assists, over 2/1 ast/to ratio, hit 3 3s - a lot of fouls though and still 3 turnovers
Ayton +1 - turnovers were a problem as was help D, but not many other options

Jackson -3 - started well, but didn't end up adding anything outside of bad shooting along with 4 turnovers and fouled out
Ariza -2 - worst +/- and turnovers..but did at least add some things outside of not shooting
Crawford -1 Useless and terrrible decisions

Nashty
+2 Bridges : no love for the guy who's a +16 in 22min? I love watching him out there. He makes good decisions, doesn't stop the ball and goes with the flow. He tries hard defensively too. I want to see him get more minutes
+2 TJ : continues to hit the 3 ball at a good rate, 18/8 off the bench and in 22min. I don't care whether he's starting or not but he NEEDS minutes and shots. 18min and 4 shot attempts in the last game is inexcusable
+1 Ayton : put up his typical double-double but again a good portion of it was during garbage time. If our players could hit more of their shots, he would be doubling his assist numbers.
+1 Okobo : a lot of garbage time production too but seeing him hit 3's, get to the line, grab rebounds and dropping dimes is good for everyone

Cactus
-2 Ariza : spoiler alert, it's all 3 of our old guys
-2 Chandler : -17 in 12min of game time is laughable
-2 Crawford : -15 in 16min of game time is a joke

Dishonorable mention: Igor still has a lot of promise and he's done a lot revamping whatever offensive 'system' we've been running the last couple of years but why are we running Ryno 30+mpg still?
