Nashty & Cactus: Game 11 vs Celtics

Post#1 » by bwgood77 » Fri Nov 9, 2018 4:41 am

Reminder, if you give over 3 votes to anyone, or give team votes, owner, coach votes, they don't count

How it works

Spoiler:
Anyone can vote for the 3-2-1 (including other fans from other forums) but you can only vote for the Suns players (or coach).

3 votes to who you think was a the best Suns player.
2 for the second best
and 1 for the 3rd best.

**EDIT: as of January something-or-other 2017, you can now distribute votes for the Nashty and Cactus however you please. You have a total of 6 votes to give out, but now you have the freedom to do what you want with those 6. The only condition which applies is no more than 3 votes can be given to one player in either award. **

In the event of a Suns loss, you are also encouraged to vote for the Cactus of the game:

-3 votes for the player most responsible for the loss
-2 votes for the second most responsible
-1 for the third most responsible

Any votes with more than 3 players listed and not in the required format will not count. Voting will close before the start of the next Suns game.

After the thread closes, the votes will be tallied. The highest scoring total Sun gets 3 points, the next 2, and the third gets 1 point towards their season total. In the event of a tie in a count for a game, if the result of the game is a Suns win, a maximum of 4 players will be awarded points. A tie in the event of a loss will only result in a maximum of 3 players getting awarded points.

The player with the highest total at season's end wins the award!

The same applies for the Cactus of the Year, although of course the lowest tally at year's end takes it.

+3 for Warren - Efficient game.
+2 for Booker - Got gassed out in OT. Still played well.
+1 for Holmes - Hustled a lot. Good end to the half with a put back and then a block.

-3 for Canaan - Not Canaan's fault he can't guard Kyrie. But he missed almost all his threes.
-2 for Anderson - Sucks. Should retire. Shouldn't ever play for us again
-1 for Ariza - Missed some big shots in the 4th.

-3 Canaan.

+3 to Book, +3 to TJ
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

They were off limits to begin with, then people started voting last year so they were included for awhile, but it's a waste..we are voting for the Suns most valuable player or least valuable player. The coach is obviously discussed in the coaching and game threads but this vote is for players.

+4 Warren
+1 Ariza
+1 Ayton

.... 0 Booker (+3 1st Quarter Book; -3 4th Quarter Book)
Enjoy the highlight vids, Young Wolf
This loss rests on your shoulders - and not because of the shots you missed, but because of your failure to run the offense. HUMBLE YOURSELF JUST A BIT BRAH.

If there were a true superstar on this team, they'd be all over Book for his lazy, prideful, showboat play. Enjoy the losses, "leader"

+4 Booker 38,9 on 50% shooting. TOTALLY his fault we lost :P
+2 Warren Was smoking for awhile even though smoking in the arena is prohibited

-3 Ayton Afraid to look at the hoop at times. WTF dude? You're bigger than anyone on the damn court. Do something productive out there at all times.
-2 Caanan 3-14. Just great. Oh and terrific defense on Kyrie out there.
-1 JJ. Every time you step on the court you travel and throw a horrendous pass. Fix your game then come back.

-3 Canaan

What does he do exactly, apart from walking the ball up the court?

Has a shaky handle, cant make entry passes, doesn’t communicate on both ends of the floor, doesnt understand basic basketball spacing, and is a selfish player.

Well at least he rebounds AND scores. We haven't had a C that does that in a long while. Sure he has a ton of work to do in other areas, but most rookies do.

He's the # 1 pick, his defense shouldn't be this pathetic and most of all he's soft. He needs to be more aggressive offensively and especially defensively

I agree. That's what I said after every AZ game and why I was slightly leaning Doncic, but we are where we are. Hopefully something motivates him. I wonder what the best technique would be...like "pretend if that ball goes in the basket one of your family members dies"...it would be great if everyone played defense with something like that in mind.
