Do you think the Suns would have a better record if they drafted Doncic? I sure don't. There is no way a rookie is going to singlehandedly turn this sh#t show that is the Suns franchise around. Dallas has a much more experienced and proven front office and roster.

Doncic would probably be putting up decent numbers, while the Suns still lose, meanwhile Ayton would be putting up even more impressive numbers on a less dysfunctional team and the media would rip us for not taking the hometown kid. Ayton has Arizona ties and was the consensus #1 pick, you can't really fault the Suns on that in my opinion.

Thank you!

Doncic and JJJ are both currently and will be in the future better players than Ayton and the biggest difference is that the former two have passion for the game. Ayton is a 7'1 tinkerbell.

Even so. Them being better players doesn't make Ayton a bad player. Ayton will be a very good player even if he's 85% KAT, that's still a damn good player.

He will never be an impact player if he doesn't play defense. He's shown no signs of being able to do so outside of 1v1 situations.

- Ryan Anderson was -16 in 8 minutes. If he never plays another minute for us, it will be too damn many.

- Daniels deserves more burn. We need more shooters.

- No need to rush Booker back, we ain't going anywhere.

- I wish Ayton played with more fire. That's my biggest concern. His effort is very inconsistent. When he gets mad, he dominates. Otherwise he is like a piece of driftwood in the ocean.

- We're not as bad as our record states, but a slow start, bad luck, and tough initial schedule mean we will be a bottom 3 team again. It's a shame as he new lottery rules will work against us. :banghead:

I don't think that's necessarily and absolutely true. If he's even below average defensively but is elite offensively, he could still have an overall positive impact. I think he has potential to be a mix of Jokic and KAT. KAT isn't very good defensively but his offense is so overwhelmingly positive that it largely negates his poor defense. In his 2nd season, KAT had a worse DRPM than Ayton but his offense was so good, his poor defense was what held him back from becoming an elite player overall. I threw in Jokic as well because his defense was never really that highly regarded but his passing is what makes him so good. Ayton already has some of his passing instincts (perhaps to a fault at times).

For me, his defense is what will hold him back from being a top 5 player imo but his offensive potential is near unlimited. Given that, he still has a chance to be a very positive impact player

I cant even bring myself to watch the 9minhighlight videos of the game on youtube anymore.

Thats how much Ive lost interest in the team.
Whiffing on the Bender/Chriss/Jackson and now looks like Ayton picks have been a real setback.

McD really left us a real pile of trash. Thanks for nothing.

What Ayton struggles at is so easy to coach. I think the Suns need to find a good assistant coach for Ayton in the offseason. Suns need to hire KG as an assistant coach ASAP.

Ayton is more Enes Kanter than he is Towns imo. Kanter is a guy that puts up amazing #s no matter where he goes (look at his per 36 #s for basically any season) but his team don't tend to be very successful despite his indivudual stats. I hope Ayton doesn't end up the same way.

Hey y'all - congrats on the young guys you've got, and I hope DB is back to full speed soon. Really like Richaun Holmes from what i saw the other day.

Baffled that Ariza seems to be vaialable in trade though - why pay the guy then unload him so fast? Wishing you all very happy holdiays and a greats eason
