Call me crazy but i love the duo of Holmes and Ayton. One brings a ton of energy and the other is really skilled ( when he wants to show it ). And i would still play them both at the same time, just to see how they would compliment eachother. Maybe Holmes could cover for Ayton so that he could slip more into AD role and have easier time on offense.

But it's still sad that games like these feel like a win, because they actually decided, as a team, to bring energy and really try to win the game. I guess it is a step in the right direction, just hoping they don't make 3 steps back in the next game.

I don't know if I would be able to deal with Doncic being on this team. We'd have an influx of band wagoners and Doncic-only fans because the team is bad, which would ultimately divide the fanbase and put this team under an international spotlight. Being a suns fan won't be the same. Booker would probably gather a lot more hate, not even sure if he and Doncic can co-exist.

If the Mavs game was a close score, he would have become the youngest ever to record a triple double. He also let a fellow rookie Brunson go off for 2 straight games. He does anything for a win. So i am pretty sure Book would shine very bright next to him and would love all those free shots that he would be getting

Much as I want to be upset at the non-charge call against Daniels, it was the right one made. Refs didn't beat us tonight.

Actually by my view Daniels right foot was not on the line and thus established legal position outside the restricted area. He had nothing on or past the line at the point of contact. He was on the ball of his foot which is allowed and allows him to protect his verticality. It's a tough call, but I think the refs may have gotten that one wrong. I didn't see any more motion to cause a foul.

I was more talking about him not having position yet. I'd have to see a replay. I didn't have a problem with that call.

Just to comment on that post about getting one of the Duke guys... I for one don't think the next draft is the way to go.

Zion is beastly but would trade that pick for someone like Jaren Jackson Jr and a future first... And put him next to Ayton. Suns need defense and players who will fit together and bring different specialities.

Doubt they'd trade Jackson alone for the pick, much less a future first.

Holmes is the best move that McD made all summer long. That’s right, even better than drafting Ayton.

I wish we could extend him now to like a 3 or 4 year contract.

I kinda agree. I’m tired of relying on the draft. If we can trade the pick for a veteran useful player tho is younger than like 28 then I’m for it.

Bummed we didnt get the win but stoked at the fire we played with. First time this year the team looked unified and played with fire, heart and seemed to vibe together, seemed for the first time that they like each other!!! But then gets ejected... Second now. Just out of the blue for talking... And the thing is I didn't even hear him yell or say bad things.

I imagine he whispers to the most disgusting, vile things to the referees.... Or he gives them that "I will rip your butt hole with my teeth" look as he whispers things to them.

This is what I’m guessing that he does as well because his body language is actually calm and collected. He must be saying a lot of dirty and vulgar things about referees and perhaps their wifes and daughters as well to pick up techs so quickly in a short period of time. It’s funny that a guy like Draymond Green can run and seem as if he’s gonna attack and strangle a ref but still not get a tech most of the time.

I don’t have a problem with Warren doing it. If I was getting robbed by the refs as often as he does then I’d be doing the same thing.

I doubt he says that type of stuff...probably more like that is effing bs...the actual words..probably stuff that is pretty forbidden to curse towards or at refs. Obviously he should learn from that.

Last night seemed like BS though. He got a technical after Ayton had a shooting foul, and then he got ejected with the same amount of time on the clock, after he was walking toward the bench.

It doesn't seem like you should be able to get two technicals with the same amount of time on the clock.

Same thing happened here last year, and the announcer said "quietest objection they've seen"

There's always going to be a love/hate relationship with Ayton until he matures into the monster that he's capable of OR flame out as a mediocre, empty stat guy. Fans think it's an effort thing with Ayton, I think it's 90% experience / 10% effort issue with him. He does seem to play much better the second time around facing the same opponent. I think he has faced all the major centers out there, except KAT, Gobert and Whiteside. The remainder of the season is going to be fun to watch with this kid.

I don't think it's a runaway for Luka for ROY, which is the consensus. After one of the best rookie month I have seen, Luka's stats are tapping off over the last two months. I wonder if opposing team are adjusting, regression to the mean, or conditioning / injury issues. Probably some combination of all three. Will be interested to see how he adjust and fare for the rest of the season. Not that Ayton hasn't struggle in his own right. Ayton has no chance at all All-star bid (one of his goal) but a ROY is possible.

I actually don't mind the mind-boggling amount of criticism he's getting and the Luka overhang, it tells me he's mentally capable of being a franchise player in a hostile backdrop.

I think Ayton should be fine in the long run. Not sure about some of the earlier comparisons to Robinson or Shaq, but he should be efficient, get and get a lot of rebounds. Not sure if he will get to where Len is now on rim protection, for example, or be particularly strong at it, but if not I guess that's something we will have to live with and see if you can at least be a playoff team with a C that isn't much of a rim protector.
