Alright if that's what you think then it probably is better not to discuss this any further. Clearly you think I coming from an illogical starting position and it doesn't seem like I'm going to change your mind

Luka second coming of linsanity. Luka sanity. He’s a good player who is overhyped and all of you drooling over him are hypebeasts. Luka Doncic is the great white hype.

Doncic is really good, but let's not pretend Kellan Olsen hasn't had a boner for him for like a year. This article is garbage.

So ignore what Barkley, Green, Curry, Butler and other are saying too. Below is probably the most accurate part of the article and I would guess the last sentence reflects most of the Luka haters.

The glimmer sparkling around Doncic’s play that has snatched up the attention of the basketball world absolutely was there when he was playing internationally and in the EuroLeague. Some watched and saw it. Some watched and didn’t. Some wouldn’t watch so they couldn’t.

Yes, he's one of the best rookies ever and he's having a better rookie season than LeBron did. But we didn't take him. How long do you think you are going to take to get over it?

At least we fired our GM who passed up on him and Fox and Murray, etc.

I think everyone needs to move on.

It could be while before I move on. A lot of it depends on Doncic. This year, he will add NBA Rookie of the Year and likely NBA All-star to his already impressive resume. At that point the biggest thing missing will be an NBA championship. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get one either. That was the "IT" factor that I saw watching his euro games. He wants "IT" so freaking bad and imagine he will get it. Moving on from that will be tough.

What exactly am I ignoring? Did I not just say he's really good? Did I not have him #1 on my big board before the draft (hint: I did)?

My point is Kellan Olsen has been literally writing love letters to Doncic for a year now, and that article is just him stroking himself about how good Doncic's been. Just look at that quip in your favorite quote lol, "The glimmer sparkling around Doncic's play has snatched up the attention of the basketball world." Give me a break lol.

It's way too soon to act like the Suns made this massive mistake. We didn't draft Ayton for the first 40 games of his rookie year, and the potential for him to be a generational talent is there just like it is for Luka.

Yeah, a lot of us saw the IT factor, the kind I didn't see with Ayton watching at AZ. But Ayton has improved more than I expected and is playing well.

I know in this thread it's obviously fair game to talk about Doncic considering it's a thread about the Mavs game where he killed us, but in the future keep it to the Around the NBA thread since it bothers so many people.

Did you really just equate Doncic to Jeremy Lin?
