Best thing Robert can do now is stay as far away from the spotlight as he can, then hope for good results and take some (mostly undeserved) credit for it and start rebuilding his image from there.

Take it with a grain of salt but:

I kind of doubt sarver actually sells right now since he just landed the arena upgrade and is dropping money into that new practice facility. Plus all the recent hires, it would typically make sense to sell then let that new owner hire all the front office.

But crazy thought- I wonder if LeBron would put something together. He can't actually own a team while playing but he does basically have an agency as a player so his people are good at making shadow groups and getting around rules. LeBron wants to own a team some day and opportunities to buy teams don't come along that often. I think he wants to stay in LA and Phoenix is obviously close by. Plus James Jones is his guy and would probably be his choice to run it.

I don't think he's selling (would be great if he did) but I think landing the arena upgrade could be a significant factor in getting an even better price. You're not selling to the new owners a team with crumbling infrastruture and a no-direction team. We've now got a competent (I hope) coach, a good young core, a undeservedly loyal fanbase and now new facilities. What better time to sell
