If he’s not taking the open outside shot, then he is borderline useless.

He's just had 14 pts off the bench ( best of second unit). Stop hating.

Yeah, I think that he did his job and a bit more.

He is way more active than what I expected, I did not know it. Versatile player. And he always makes the easy pass, so he avoids TOs.

When we first got him someone on here posted a highlight reel thing of him shooting and doing some moves. A lot of us thought it was weird that a guy already in the league put together a video like that. My biggest takeaway was that his moves looked slow af. What I have seen in his dribble driving is that he has a spin move that actually works and that as slow as he may seem, there are slower bigs out there. He's more than an Anderson and we'd be wasting him if we only let him shoot 3's. I never thought I would like him. He really doesn't do boneheaded moves that much -- just misses shots.

No way they dump anyone. You don't risk screwing up a great thing. I don't think Tyler Johnson gets traded simply due to having the cap space when he expires and perhaps using it at a position of greater need, like perhaps a young PF in case matching Dario is too expensive.

I do not think they would trade either Tyler Johnson or Baynes if they are in the position they are still in come February - meaning a chance for the playoffs. Granted, I think BWG pointed out the Grizz started 12-5 last year. I think the talk of Kevin Love is probably done as who would you rather have - a 25 year old Saric for may 4/60 or Love at his cost. I might be low on Saric but the point is the same - he can still get better and is younger and won't cost what Love costs.

tyler is a steady player - good have to have off the bench. But the cost is the cost. Hollinger wrote the Suns could have stretched Tyler to not have to dump Jackson or Warren for nothing. True. They could have. But Tyler would have been worth another 6.5m the next two years. Plus you have to replace Tyler so whats that - another 2.5m or so just for this year if you are lucky you can get a good player for 2.5m Not much savings bigger picture

Christ almighty can we extend Baynes now. Before the guys worth 13m for 3 years.

I didn't mention the Grizz' start last year...though I do remember them beating Houston twice (I think).....someone pointed that start out in the GB thread and I did mention that the Conley loss was obviously a big impact and someone else mentioned the JJJ loss was big as well, and Gasol getting traded.

James Jones just might be proving me. Good game. In all fairness, I’m waiting to see at least game 20 before I give a fair an accurate assessment of this team.

Either way, great start to the season. This town desperately needs a playoff team. Maybe this team is it!

No doubt losing Conley was a huge blow to the Grizz and changing from Gasol to JVal as well. I guess my point is 6 games does not a season make. And even if the Suns win 4 or 5 games on this homestand, thats still only 8-4 after 12 games. But I do like what I see and think the team will continue to improve. A guy like Cam Johnson, wants he settles down and gets more comfortable, as Eddie Johnson said, the shot is there. It took Doug McDermott a bit of time in the league to be the player he is. First year he shot 32% from the arc - the rest of his career - around 37% if not higher. Plus Ayton will be a big lift.

I like what he see. I don't see any trades - but if they do make a trade - I can see it being Oubre or Bridges over an expiring. Meaning higher upside, longer term potential. Maybe add an expiring like Tyler. Granted, not sure who that player would be. I just know its not Love anymore.

I remember what this team played like the past seasons. Unwatchable garbage that the rest of the league and reporters laughed at.

I have nothing to complain about at this moment. Two losses by a one free throw in each and the rest wins. The best start to a season since they got Nash back in 04. A goddamn competitive team playing smart sound ball.
