Not really sure what to do about that. The Spurs approach of just doubling Harden every time won't work when Irving and Durant are also on the court.
I hated the loss - like FoReal, lost that 1st half glow - but I'm trusting this process. On to the next.
I don't think so...he never plays nearly 35 minutes and when he is chasing guards and wings around 100% of the time, 30 minutes into playing time, he will not have the stamina...no bigs will..they are not conditioned to chase guards for nearly a full quarter...he is not only used to mostly guarding slow bigs who don't move much, but not playing that # of minutes.
He has only played more minutes than that in 6 games, about half of them in OT, but all of them that played bigs mostly...a few games against Denver, Cleveland and Dallas all of which require a lot less running around chasing guards/wings than a small ball lineup.
Switching is fine if you are normally guarding a big guy, conserving energy...but onto Harden repeatedly at the end of a game where you play 35 minutes is too much to ask.
When switching on Harden earlier he kept with him and blocked a layup attempt.
Then they don't exploit our size on the mismatch offensively.
