I had finished grad school and was in in the second year of my first real job. Had also just met my eventual wife and getting ready to move in together with her. Was making **** money at the time but life was simple and not so stressful. Was good times.

I had flown out to Chicago for my brother in law's wedding, and drove all of his stuff back to AZ, during that Spurs series. I didn't get to watch the games until I got home. I was still living in SoCal, so it was always tough watching the league try and jam LAL into the playoffs. And my neighbors loved rubbing everything in.
