Yeah not so much....

The Nets are in a different stratosphere then the suns. sure when only 1 of our big 3 play it evens the playing field a bit. but with 2 or more we are just light years better.

Frank Lee wrote:Anyone notice Ayton feisty with CP? The play after DA was sleepwalking and Paul passed to empty space... DA came down and fumble fingered a point blanker for an And one... at the line he shooed CP with hand swipe and a grimace. Paul looked at Book with a wtf.

I actually like that from Ayton... Ayton's got this reputation around the league for being too soft.

So while Ayton was definitely impacted by Griffin's flopping around like a fish, seeing that side of him being pissed off at the time to me is encouraging.

It doesnt matter. we only need 1 of them healthy per game to get to the finals and 2 healthy per game to win a ring.

Don’t come flex on this board when your team has the type of history that it does lol. Feels like just yesterday when Billy King sold every single draft pick your team had and destroyed the team for many years  The Suns have had some awful GMs too that made horrible choices but it always made me feel better to look at the Nets and think “Ah man I guess it could always be worse”.

Billy king was a blessing in disguise. he inadvertently set things in motion. us bottoming out led to sean marks and a move to brooklyn.

Even now, how much does it suck knowing that the Knicks are still 10x more popular in the NY area than the Nets?

It doesnt suck at all. its awesome actually, when we beat them thats 10 times the people crying and 10 times the people we get to troll.
All it would take is for Kyrie to forget to take his bipolar meds one time and the Nets would implode very quickly. Don’t ever forget that.

Nah, Kyrie is the man. Elite leader and final legend. we good.

You mean the refs make you light years better. It’s ok to have a false sense of achievement.

Was it the Refs shooting the lights out over your defenders or was that KD? was it the refs raining threes or was that Kyrie?

Any team with CP3 and his helicopter flops should not be crying about whistles. you lost because you couldnt come close to remotely slowing us down, not because of fouls. this wasnt a 1 point loss with a BS bail out foul at the buzzer. this is a game we were up double digits for the final 20 minutes.

How do we get Booker to the next level, feel like he needs another element to make his game easier and more consistant, he currently relies alot on the Kobe jumpers.

Not true. One of them means a very mediocre team. You basically need all three or two and the refs to beat any serious team.

We are not losing again because we don't play again. Also, this poster only makes sarcastic posts.

Brooklyn, despite making that awful trade, rebuilt far more quickly than we did. It will be interesting to see if they can stay healthy for the playoffs, though even with 2 of their stars, they probably are as good as anyone, given they are the 1 seed and have played 7 games together (and I think fully healthy lost their first 2 to the Cavs while adjusting to each other).

The Nets are 6-3 when just Kyrie Plays (Wins over Utah, Knicks, Boston)

The Nets are 4-2 when just harden plays (Wins over Suns, Blazers)

The Nets are 4-1 when just KD plays (Wins over Denver, Knicks)

Thats 14-6 when only 1 of them plays including 7 wins vs good teams. Maybe they would need 2 of them to get by philly, but i dont see philly making it to the ECF anyhow. in either event, 14-6 with half of those coming vs good/great teams is certainly not "mediocure"

The Nets are 18-1 vs. the top 6 teams in each conference when at least 2 play.

its a wrap

The playoffs are different. Doubt Nets take more than one game in a series from Utah, Suns, Nuggets in above scenarios. The first win vs Suns was a pure luck. The Bucks will also beat you in a series if only one of them plays.

Anyway, I may even root for the Nets in a finals series vs Lakers. Have Lebron taste of his own medicine by losing to an artificially created super-team.

I think we sweep denver with just 1 of the big 3. Jazz or lakers we would need 2 of them for sure. the bucks wont make it out of round 1.

The Lakers are the only team that would make me root for the Nets. If it’s the Clippers or Nuggets then I’m rooting for them over Brooklyn even with Clippers having even more unlikable players on the team.

Return to Phoenix Suns
