Kinda feels like we should've won this game easily in regulation. I mean we shot 52% to their 45% won the steals and blocks category handily 10 to 3 & 11 to 3. Committed 10 less TO.s as well. Hit one less three but the Cavs managed to score 11 extra ft than us which could be one of reasons this game was closer than it should have been.

Yeah, and their young backcourt was actually Defended well, they just couldn't miss.

Playoff suns had better get to the line more. It will be important.

Evidently nothing

Allows the double to come up without getting rid of it and dribbles into the triple team with his team mate stuck in the corner lol

I mean, I don't know how much of this is Monty having too much faith in Book or is this what Monty drew up?

I think it's monty placating Booker's ego. I've heard a number of times starting last season and into this season that "everyone knows booker is our best scorer, there's no secret about that in the locker room". Which, he is, but he sure seems to say it a lot. I think booker needs that respect from Monty at the end of the game because Devin surely sees the he's second fiddle on what was his own team now. But Devin not passing the ball away when he clearly sees the defense is guarding him like "don't worry he won't pass" is really really bad instincts. I am still really upset about that shot.

I totally understand your take. But I’m ok with how Dev played that out. In that moment, his mindset is get to a spot on the court where I can elevate and shoot. I don’t think he really has a feel for where the other guys are. Tunnel vision and watching the clock. He would have had to elevate to pass and what if it was errant and got stolen and you give CLE a last shot without getting off one ourselves? I think we can all see that Dev is patterning his game off Kobe so this is what we get now at the end of games. Kobe would not have passed there. Neither would Jordan have passed there. For many years Lebron has been knocked for passing in that situation. I for one am happy that Dev has that mentality like Kobe and MJ. It will not always work out, but it will pay dividends eventually. I feel some historic shots coming in Dev’s future.

You say that cause they won. If the cavs had won, you'd be bashing Booker for that horrible shot.... and you'd be right.

There was no excuse to take a triple teamed fade away when your teammate is right there wide open. The end result worked out but Booker should be rightly called out for that garbage.

CJ being able to hit 3s and Ayton being able to dominate inside on O are the best kept secret weapons going into the playoffs.

Respectfully, I completely disagree. Especially after mentioning LeBron. For years LeBron was knocked because he didn't take the shot but rarely do people talk about the right pass/decision being made 98% of the time.

It's also not that it won't always work, it's that the vast majority of the time it doesn't work. People want to be Kobe but Kobe took horrible horrible shots, occasionally he hit them and that's what everyone remembers. The misses fade away into the hundreds of misses while the buzzer beaters/ game winners live on in history. I totally get that you miss every shot you don't take but it doesn't mean *he* has to take every shot.

Make the right play >>> take every shot

Zero excuse especially when we saw almost the exact same play after everyone cleared out in the Bucks game a week or so ago

Book having a better BB IQ than that is hopefully another secret weapon for the playoffs.

So did we let another rookie have a career game against us?

Of course we did. Okoro averages 9 ppg on the season bombed us with 32 points as his next highest scoring output was 20. Kid shoots 43% on the season went 10-16 against us for 62% fg. But it's okay it's okay we are contenders again so getting upset over a young kid scoring 23 more points than his average shouldn't bother us.

Okoro is shooting 29% from 3 this season, the scouting report on him is let/encourage him to shoot from the outside. He hit 3 of 4 from deep and was hitting some difficult 2s late in that game. The kid was feeling it, it happens. This is the NBA guys have hot nights. The suns were playing a little lazy on D but all in all Okoro just had a good night regardless of what the suns were doing.

Are you being serious? I mean there has been some nasty Bridges & Edward's dunks along with another handful I probably missed. Cam might be outside the top 10 looking in possibly top 15 on the season. Just check out Okoro @ 4 min mark or Hampton around 2:30.

He probably meant Suns. I mean there have been some crazy dunks just over the past few weeks across the NBA.
