Do all NBCA COY get the NBA COY award also, or has any coach won one and not the other?

wondering the same thing. peers don't necessarily think like the media, but maybe the media doesn't want to look like a bunch of idiots by voting for a different guy.

Problem is the media votes were submitted yesterday... I can see the media voting for Thibs.

The NBCA COY was different from the media’s COY last year, so its possible Monty doesn’t get the second one.

I'll be damned if Monty doesn't win the NBA COY award and someone like Thibs does. Thibs should win it this year if it wasn't for Monty. Monty is deserving, we're not just some surprise team which had a better than expected record like the Knicks, we're the #2 team in the entire league.

The league should have multiple COY similar to baseball. Monty should win Western conference COY while Thibs should win Eastern conference COY. That would solve a ton of problems. Same with ROY, MVP, ETC...

I don't really think there's a problem. If anything, making an East/West versions of the awards just dilutes the achievement. IMO it's a step backwards. It would be like if the NBA has the top 16 teams in the league going to the playoffs and then decides to go back to top 8 teams in the conferences; it's a step backwards.
