First of all - hi guys!
I am a true Phoenix Suns fan for over 17 years. Glad to be part of the forum discussing our favourite team with other passionate fans!

On to the game last night - Fully expected the team to be on a high because of the CP3 situation and the need to reward the people in the arena. Booker proves once again that he is developing into a superstar for the last two years. Nice job by Crowder, Bridges, both Camerons and Ayton.

If CP3 won`t make it for Game 3, I expect Monty to think about the rotation, especially Moore`s minutes. I like Moore, but the problem with him in Game 1 was the defence. PG was exploiting it and was doing whatever he wants when Moore was on the floor.

It didn`t help that Payne was with 4-5 fouls, which btw triggered more of "PG Booker". Booker delivered superbly this time but we cannot expect similar performances (almost no TOs, nice assists) from him every single game until CP3 returns. Many of you suggested that Carter should get several minutes, which I agree with. He won`t have the size disadvantage with Beverly and Jackson and could really help with the team defence, not only the personal one.

Looking forward to Game 2 and the small adjustments Monty should do in order to not expect another monster game from Devin Booker. All in all - a nice way to start the WCF and a nice reward for all of the Suns fans inside the arena and around the world.

PS: I am from Bulgaria. A small European country, but with lots of passionate NBA fans!

I think we have a few from Bulgaria, and I think we have more international than those from the states. We did a poll, and I will have to do again to check....will do in speculation thread since that might be the most active, though game threads may have taken that over.

Well it asks what makes Booker better. Would have been similar last year to see one saying what makes Mitchell better than Booker? Or something similar.

While similar, they are all different players with different strengths/weaknesses. Not worth taking personally. I don't know how LaVine would look with Paul, Bridges, Ayton, etc. I don't think as good as Booker but know he had really good #s this year. I don't watch him enough but the #s looked better if someone just compares those even with Booker's better cast.

The knock on LaVine now is that he doesn't win...and maybe defense, similar to what Booker would have gotten last year or earlier...at least before the bubble...so I can kind of understand why Bulls fans would argue since we would have done and did do the same with Booker vs Mitchell and others and felt he got disrespected.

Yeah, but no one was saying that about Mitchell. The Suns get disrespected (and some is warranted given how bad they WERE) all the time, but now that they're killing it, it's all about what the other team was lacking rather than accepting that the Suns might just be a really good team. I feel like half the posters on GB have only been around the past stinky decade though, so they don't realize how good this franchise consistently was for most of its existence before 2010/11

Well, what I meant with Mitchell was that people on the GB were ranking him ahead of Booker for awhile last year and before and we could have easily posed that thread and the answer would have been Booker doesn't win and Mitchell does without even considering who they are playing with. LaVine was really good this year, at least by the numbers. I didn't watch him much so I can't really compare but I can certainly understand a guy being underrated due to how bad of teammates he has.
