I think Booker should use screens or it should be a catch and shoot situation for him to hit a game winner/almost buzzer beater type shots. Like the one he had against Dallas and another team (can’t remember now).

Booker dribbling up iso is probably my least favorite play in clutch situations. It worked against the Clippers that one time but there’s been 10s of times when it has not worked.

CP3 needed to figure something else out rather than give it to him with 4 seconds left imo.

You're right. Though that was kind of when Book ran out to get it and want the pass.

Doesn't really matter though. Even if he hits the shot Barnes wins at the buzzer.

Suns didn't deserve to win anyway.

I like to believe it's not set in stone. The image of Book hitting a go-ahead middy causes Barnes to lose confidence since it's no longer a tied game but a higher pressure down by 2 scenario 8-)

Unfortunately, it still doesn't matter.

Yeah just about to say the same thing. Having played competitive basketball myself (albeit not professionally of course), in close games there’s always way less pressure taking shots in a tie game vs deficit.

I do think taller and lengthier Bridges should’ve been guarding the taller Barnes with Booker on Halliburton on that last play as well. Book was guarding Buddy to start then had to switch but he shouldn’t even have been guarding Buddy nor Barnes, their two guys most lethal with short time remaining on the clock. All hindsight but could’ve made a difference.

In looking at the final play, This was definitely on Monty as a missed opportunity. Paul looked so gassed that he didn't even get up there and challenge the in inbound. He didn't even put his arms up really. Ayton or McGee with their size and wingspan should have absolutely been guarding the inbound play. At the very least they would've/ could've made it a much more difficult pass, resulting in more time possibly expiring on the play.

Also agree with most that Bridges should've been guarding Barnes do to his length and defensive abilities. This one was lost by a number of factors. But the final possession was lost by our coach. Hopefully he gets better at this sooner rather than later! :-?
