I think in scenarios like this and the olympics, you can see Book getting his respect as probably a top 3 off guard in the league.

It is nice to see - and I think his improved defence is a big reason for that respect,
yeah. i wish he didnt get so cold in the second half but at least he did that awesome left hand oop.

What I liked was he moved well without the ball, and played well defensively.

i dunno, I kind of felt he parked himself at the 3-point line a bit too much especially in half-court situations, but yeah that left handed oop was nice

He was usually one of the first guys down the court, so he would have to wait in those corner three spots at the start of the set. Plus most of the guys starting with the ball were basically going to shoot it. There were a few hustle plays I liked by Book. The turnovers sucked, but its such a weird game to evaluate anything. It was nice that he got that many minutes.

Kobe/CP3 would’ve been crazy together on the Lakers, glad that trade didn’t go down lol.

I never thought they would compliment each other as much as others. Kobe was a bit too selfish. I remember when Nash went there I felt the same way and suddenly Kobe wanted to prove he could pass too and started getting more assists, handling even more, and Nash became a spot up shooter.

Even though CP3 has coexisted with Booker well and kind of with Harden, I don't think him and Kobe would have ultimately meshed well. Not to say they wouldn't have been good, because both compete, but I don't think it would be a situation where the sum is greater than the parts, like CP3 has done in Phx or did in New Orleans or sometimes in LA.

I do wonder if Kobe would have gotten tired of hearing CP3 all the time like he has worn on others too.

I think they would’ve figured it out. Both Kobe and CP3 were maniacs about wanting to win. One or both would’ve been willing to take the step back to help the team further their chances.

But iirc that trade would’ve lost the Lakers their star big man Gasol. Losing Gasol would’ve been a significant loss, he was always the underrated piece of them going back to back in ‘09/‘10.

Watching the introductions of the top 75 players, man some of the mitts on those guys were bigger than some of the baseball mitts I had.

Well when you have 6-7 in fingers, they are bound to get caught on something. I can just hear the Nugenix commercial "and she will like it too" :eyebrows:
