He has decent form, I just don't know why he misses so much. Some of them are wide open threes.

Great form but the way he shoots takes away so much lift on his shot that the arc is unnecessarily flat. If he took like a quarter of a second longer to set his feet, he'd get more energy transfer from his legs to his shot. The thing is, most of the time, he's not so tightly guarded that he needs to shoot like that

He should learn to pump fake. There’s times when a guy is running at him and if he were to do a simple pump fake then the guy would run past him and he would be able to take an easier more non-rushed shot. However, I’ve noticed there’s less and less defenders running at him as the season goes on because his shot is becoming less and less worth defending.

They looked great the first game without CP3 and lost the next two. Looked great first game without Book.

The depth and plug-in play Craig provides if we play George, Lebron, even Luka in the playoffs will be helpful if someone like Bridges or Cam Jo gets hurt or enters safety and health protocols. Whereas Smith would immediately get picked on and exploited in the playoffs, or not get minutes at all.

Happy for Jalen Smith, I hope he sticks in the league.

Yep this is correct. Say what you will about the pick, about Haliburton, about not picking up his option - whatever.

In the moment, at the trade deadline, with a 60 win team - it was the right thing.

I hope Jalen does well too, seems like a good guy, and him succeeding doesn't mean the trade was bad.

It was the right thing after not picking up his option. Had we picked it up and not been one of the two teams in the past 10 years not to pick up the 3rd year option of a top 10 pick, I'd rather have him for the long term as backup C/double big lineup if needed on rookie contract for a few years. Craig hasn't really been that good and is a journeyman type player. Pretty good D but offense sorely lacking. Rebounding is one weakness overall, particularly going forward with only Ayton as a big under contract. That was one of Jalen's biggest strengths.

Nice to hear. I think better distribution between all of our really efficient guys would be nice (Cam, Ayton, Bridges). These guys all have been well into the 60% TS% range.

Bridges has gotten more overall as of late and Ayton is up and down, but still are 3rd and 4th in shots already, barely behind Paul (11.5), though both of them and both Cams are between 9 and 11.3. It's just Book takes 20.8, so double anyone else. I like Book in the clutch but it would be nice to see him avg more like 7 apg when Paul is there and 8 or 9 when he's not, with maybe 15 shots per game and a couple more for each of the others, and maybe a couple fewer for Crowder.

So got a chance to be at the game last night. Few thoughts. If you think shamet on tv is hard to watch in person is worse. I thought we struggled with entry passes to Ayton he would have the guy sealed and still not get the ball, made a nice adjustment and spun off the seal for 3 lobs. Great to have Payne back, the wrist isn’t 100% his handle isn’t completely back, stroke looks nice just wasn’t falling. Overall good balanced win , Payne and holiday nice assist games. Poor blazer fan behind Simmons scored 11 in first 3 minutes then got locked up by the warden. ( geez mikal give him a chance)

The Blazers who didn’t have Lillard or McCollum beat the Lakers a little less than a month ago when the Lakers had a healthy Lebron who played 36 minutes and AD who played over 40 minutes. We beat the Blazers without Paul or Book, though to be fair the Blazers did have Nurkic against the Lakers.

Was that before they traded away Covington and Powell?
