I don't know what Monty is doing right now but this a huge disappointment on multiple levels.

The scary part is, I don't think Monty knows what he is doing, or this would have been fixed two games ago. We need shooting, and he goes with Payton, a guy he has already given up on, and most likely won't see a minute of the playoffs?

Pretty sure hes giving Payton one last shot at showing why he should be on the playoff roster.

I think they'll end up waiving Payton, and promoting Ish Wainright to the playoff-active roster.

Well if that is the case, he went 4-7 with 2 assists in 11 minutes. Why wouldn't he make the playoff roster, if that was his last shot, and he got 8 points in 11 minutes?

Still this is a bad pattern developing that needs to be corrected. Legit championship contenders don't mail games in or not show up! They are always hungry and never satisfied. There's time enough in the offseason to relax and reflect on things. But currently, we have not only given opposing teams confidence against us. But even worse, they have a concrete blueprint for beating us! Clearly the same repetitive issues that we have chosen not to address this entire season.

Rebounding and 3 pt defense. These issues can be rectified by actually putting in the effort and focusing on playing together as a team WITHOUT taking things for granted. A lot if it is honestly on the coach to keep the team motivated, focused and hungry! I get his whole zen approach. But you should not be sacrificing focus and effort for a lackadaisical attitude. I hope that William's steps up and gets the players properly locked in and back on track! We cannot afford to let momentum swing any further. Otherwise we risk possible doubt and disfunction seeping in.

Yep, champions are hungry, losers act like games don't matter. Monty needs to step up.

Pretty sure the Suns have been the hungriest team this year in the league. The last few games have been disappointing but let’s not overreact. This is a championship contending team and they’ve shown that all season.

Good point guys. I hope the team realizes this their best chance and maybe their only one. Next year the west is gonna be beastly. Nuggets and Clippers will fully healthy, LAL isn't gonna be as ****, Luka will probably get more help, MEM will probably make a move (Beal?) and if OKC can get the top pick they might decide to start winning games and make trades for vets. Those are just the teams off the top of my head there's always a surprise team that does better too.

This is it. They have to get this done. Really hope they understand that chances like this don't happen alot.

I don't see Memphis making any moves, they're already stacked and extremely young. Internal improvement will take them over the top. I'll be surprised if Memphis doesn't win the championship at some point in the next 3-4 years.

I thought the game was pathetic...as was the one before, however...

All teams have bad shooting nights. We did, and without Ayton's gravity pulling people away from shooters, and people focusing a lot on Devin, it makes it tougher on shooting. But even without those two things, bad shooting nights happen. Cam is just returining from a hip contusion I believe. I hope it doesn't impact his game too much, because when it happened to Aron Baynes a couple years ago, he was never the same...he improved a bit near the end of the season but it took a long time. We had started out on fire with Ayton out but then he got the hip thing against Boston like 13 games in and never looked close to the same.

Then, I think we went into the Memphis game thinking it would probably be an easy victory with their starters resting (except Brooks) along with Tyus Jones.

This doesn't usually happen, but I think the fact we had won so many in a row, knowing we could pull games out at the end if we get down, made us a little overconfident, especially with the players out.

It is VERY rare we don't take two games in a row seriously or expect to win, and facing the Thunder resting like 8 of their best players, I'm sure we felt like it was an easy victory, especially sitting 3 starters. Now you'd think Cam, Shamet and McGee starting would have had more motivation, particularly the former two, but McGee is not an offensive threat, so when you can't shoot, you have no other option. They could put more focus on Bridges who can now score from anywhere.

Then Cam and Sham, despite the motivation, struggled shooting, going like 4-18, so when your best two shooters shoot like that in your starting lineup, with no scoring option in the middle, and a depleted bench due to 3 of them starting, you are going to have it tough.

Do not blame the game on the defense...should we talk about playoffs? I just hope we can win another game..

They have a ton of picks and young guys. They might see a window and combine that stuff for Beal, Zion or a Donovan Mitchell if they become available

Yeah, I don't think they will need any of those guys. I think their only problem will be paying all these guys once their contracts come due. Their coach has them working hard from top to bottom. Now with Covid not being as much of an issue in the league, and guys becoming healthy, the West will return to being super tough. This is probably our best chance to get a chip.

I am willing to see what the Suns do in the next game, but if it is the same crap we have seen over the last three games, I just don't think we will all of a sudden start shooting well, and rebounding. Our defense is ok, but we often leave guys wide open, or have two guys switching to the same player, leaving someone open. We need to stop watching our shots, and watching opponents shots instead of boxing out.

Yeah I think if a deal for someone like that works for them they might do it. I think Beal is overrated though and they'd be foolish to give up too much for him. He's a very bad defender and I'm not sure he'd fit their culture. Mitchell could be a decent fit but I think the Jazz are more likely to move Gobert.

I agree about Rudy, but Mitchell doesn't wanna be there. Rudy does. They can get a killing for Mitchell. NYC probably gives RJ+ their pick and Obi. They might just trade Rudy and pray having Dwade will help keep Mitchell the tho.
