I believe that Crawford just recently officially retired from the NBA.

I think that he could make a nice addition to our coaching staff this off season, if one opens up.

instead of layup lines we will run double behind the back crossover lines

I get the whole emotional roller coaster of the playoffs. Especially it being their first for them. But it's kinda funny that they'd blame Willie Green for the loss. I mean he's the one that got them back to within 7 points heading into the early 4th quarter! If they're being honest, this loss is most obviously due to their inexperience ( being young/ first time in playoffs) and particularly due to Ingram and McCollum not being able to get things going offensively. Coach Green did an admirable job overall. And of course they'll get better ( post reflection) as the series goes along. But no one really stops Paul when he's on!!!

The suns need to rebound a little better but I for one hope the Pels continue to crash the offensive boards because the suns will absolutely cook them in transition if they keep trying that.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Yep. It's not great looking at the rebound disparity, but when teams sell out crashing like that it is a sign of desperation because of how vulnerable it makes them on D.

Gerald gave an update on DA on the PHNX pod today. Says he was full participant at practice today.

This is the most non sensical against an opponent I've seen.

I’m pretty sure JV was averaging like 17 RPG against us this season BEFORE this game. It’s likely he won’t get 25 again, but it’s more possible than you might think, and we can’t let him have 21 FG attempts again because he’ll make more than the 7 he had tonight.

First game against them he got 14 boards, and 2 offensive boards. Ayton was out but McGee started and got 5 rebounds in the game. No Biyombo on our team yet at the time.

Second game Ayton was out again, and JV got 16, with 4 offensive boards. Smith started and got 5, Biyombo got 6 (McGee out also).

Third game he got 17 with 4 offensive boards. It was one of Ayton's worst rebounding games with 5. McGee had 2. Ayton did shoot 75% on him though, scoring 20.

Fourth game he got 12 with 3 offensive, while Ayton got 5, though in only 23 minutes. McGee 6 in 21 minutes. Ayton scored 18 on 64%.

We went 3-1 against them.

rebounding has been a problem against them but not as bad, considering the Pelicans never shot that poorly.

I'm not terribly concerned about them.

I’m definitely not concerned about them either. What I am concerned about is we were the 4th best looking team that played this weekend IMO.

Couldn't catch most of the game as I was coming home from a road trip but man what a game. My forehead was a little moist while I was following the score as it seemed like the Pels had momentum on their side going into the 4th until the Point God shut that all down. Amazing performance by CP3 despite what I felt was a below average offensive game for the rest of the group. Defensively I thought we were really on point. I thought we did a great job on Ingram, CJ and JV on the defensive end. We made them work for every point they scored and Mikal/DA should both be All-Defensive team candidates. Giving up 13 offensive boards and 25 overall rebounds to JV sucked but it wasn't unexpected and I would assume we will adjust.
