I don't think anyone really cares about this. We all know they suck each others' dicks behind closed doors. LeBron only had to act like he cares about it because he's the best player in the league. Just like he had to act like he actually cared about the Sterling nonsense.

Sarver spotted in Cleveland speaking to LeBron's reps.

Also, $8m a year is way to much for Hawes.

That is interesting, very interesting. Makes me wonder if that was actually an interview for Sarver. In other words, Lebron clearly has concerns about Robert and his past, perhaps this was way of putting those concerns to rest?

You got ALL that from that tweet? I know you are speculating but come on...

I dunno! Why else would someone go to Cleveland....

He rarely played the 4

It wouldn't really matter for us. On defense he could guard the five (the best he can) and on offense, it wouldn't matter except for who was guarding him. If he plays a stretch big role, more than likely a forward will guard him.

However, with him at the five, and say either Morris at the four, we could open lanes. Same role Frye would play.

He is a pure center. His mobility and agility are below-average even for a C, no way he can cover PF.
In offfense he can play very well next to an interior PF or F, like T.J. Warren.

Hawes has been a terrible defender, but he's young. He's a good passer for a big man, which would be a big plus considering how little passing we get from our front court. He shot 46% from 3 in Cleveland, fwiw.

We'd be too deep at the 5, though. Don't imagine Plumlee or Len would be too happy about taking a step back.

Classic overreaction

Like you overreact thinking that LeBron's signing here cause the Suns want him to?

:nonono:

I never said Lebron was signing here, never!! I said Lebron and all of the other brothas could be swayed away from Phoenix because our state is seen as being openly racists, remember? I have slight hope because it makes the most sense. I believe Lebron has a functioning brain contrary to popular opinion.

I don't believe that he has no interest of playing here though, I would believe that Melo wanna be ass wouldn't want to play here because it aint the BIG City, but not James. Heck, that dude is from Akron. He was raised totally different than those Melo and Love types. James knows wherever he goes the media follows!

FO is so tight-lipped we don't even know who is in Cleveland making the pitch.

Hawes is not worth more than 4 mil. That goes for Frye too.

Can't blame Carmelo. I'd rather be a celebrity in New York than Chicago or Houston.

No thanks to Spencer Hawes. I think he is too slow and unathletic for what we are trying to do, even though he is probably a more consistent shooter than Frye. I'd rather play one of the Morrii alongside Plumlee or Len.

So the Suns want to become a championship contender right. What do they need to do? Get better on defense and rebounding. Who do they bring in to Phoenix? Spencer Hawes. Yeah that makes a lot of sense. Is the Phoenix Suns franchise legitimately allergic to defense and rebounding? Nearly 50 years and counting and they still think out shooting an opponent is going to win it all. At some point, this franchise will have to realize that no matter how many points you score, it does not matter if you cannot stop the other team. I do not know what to say anymore. I sincerely hope that Hawes is not someone the Suns are bringing in with an anticipation that he would start at center. If that is the case, the season is over before it began. Hawes is even worse than Channing Frye on defense. Hawes solves absolutely nothing for this team.

I couldn't agree more, plus Alex Len was our #5 pick and I really want to see him get a chance this year. There is no need to make it harder for him to get minutes if he is healthy, we need to see what he can do.

15 years ago when you have 25/12 /3 centers.... Yes Hawes won't even get off the bench.

But today's game... Offensive structures... As Spurs have shown.
Having a stretch big man to bring out the other team's big men defender means the paint can be attacked by your wings...

Suns biggest strengths are it's attacking wings ...
Look what Ibaka did for two games in the WCF until Popovic started playing Bonner... Ibaka isn't gifted offensively so Bonner contained him enough... But Bonner drew out Ibaka from the paint which allowed Spurs to implement their offense.

No one in the league has a legit two way center who can put up 50/20 when against a player like Hawes ... Hakeem, Robinson, Shaq, Mourning, Jabbar etc aren't there anymore .

Dwight guarding Hawes at the 3pt line means his biggest strength is neutralised .

Offensively , you body him up and watch him mechanically shoot the ball... Or you zone and watch him not get the ball.
