4/34 for Markieff and 4/18 for Marcus? Does that sound realistic?

i could see a case where the Suns FO sat both brothers down and told them, " we willing to give this one lump sum for the BOTH of you, come back to us another day when you both decide how to split that between yourselves."

This has to be one of the most unique negotiating process in history

I think 4 @ 7.5per for Kieff and 4 @ 5per for marcus. I could live with that.
Wouldn't mind team options at the end of both though.

If it is 52mil than bump Kieff too 8 per. I just hope we don't overpay for a single season.
Tell you this though... If they do continue to improve, then this could be a steal for both of them (for us)

Suns do have a lot of faith on them taking another big step. Since Marcus didn't really play much the year he was with the rockets, He could be a year behind Markieff in experience

My offers for the Morris brothers.

Markieff Morris = 4 years, 28 Million
Marcus Morris = 4 years, 20 Million

Or give them 50 million combined and tell them to split it however they want... they want 25/25 then upto them.

Maybe put an incentive to add a million dollars if they achieve some KPIs like 8+ rebounds or 15+ points etc.

It's going to be tough negotiating with the brothers. You want to get them both on a good deal but you also need to pay them what it's worth. You pay one what they're really worth and it might insult the other. I just hope it stays professional and if one is worth $10m and the other only $5m, then so be it.

In McDonough we trust.

I feel like the Morris bro's are going to be Suns lifers, barring a trade of course.

I really do not think that Markieff is way better than Marcus. I think he is a better fit and gives us a kind of player than we don't have (post presence, interior points), but on the other hand Marcus is even more skilled and can play well at two positions (depending on matchup).
I think they do not see in themselves the better or the worse brother, no way their salary will be very different.
I bet that Markieff $29M/4 years and Marcus $23M/4 years.

$13M per year for both Morris is great great value. Well done FO.

Zoran Dragic, Goran's brother who arrived in Phoenix this weekend.
He is expected to participate in camp. Len (July broken finger) has been playing in voluntary pickup games and Thomas (August wrist surgery) is expected to be cleared for camp too.

All of our players are healthy and on board right now, training camp here we go!

I wouldn't be happy if we did let them decide how to split it, as has been suggested as an idea.
We still need to make sure they are good contracts. If, 2 years from now, we need to move Marcus' contract but it's worth 7mil per, it's now a bad contract. I don't think he deserves more than 5 and would rather see 4 for him. But on the flip side, it would make Kieff's contract even better.

I'm super stoked to start getting news about camp.
My baseball team is out of the playoffs and my football team sucks. Need something positive to go on.
Good to hear Len has been playing pickup games.
Forgot about IT but glad his wrist is coming along.

So if the numbers are correct then it's 52 mil for 4 years, that's 13mil per season for both. I'm really really curious to see how they split this up. If it's 8 kieff 5 Marcus that's an overpay for marcus since that's double what he would get on the FA market.

Also I dont know if anyone has said this or brought thus up but, is anyone else creeped out by these dudes? Like they can't live without each other or won't play well without each other. I consider that a form of immaturity and I think the suns are enabling it a bit by having acquired marcus and now resigning them both. What's next? Are they going to share a wife and kids?

Seriously speaking though Markieffs deal has a chance to be a huge steal if he takes another step. He can be a bigger millsap if he continues to improve imo.

That's ridiculous.

If I had a twin brother, whom I am ever so close to, and we both play in the NBA, I would like nothing more than to be on the same team as my twin.

The Morri are the backbone of this team's chemistry. I'm so glad we can lock em up here, and maybe even keep them around for life!

Welcome to my world (baseball team--Orioles are normally where your Yankees are...with about 20 less wins. At least your team is good more often than not.)

Now as Football goes, the Saints didn't just lose to arguably the worst team in the NFL...AT HOME, mind you...so yeah, I'm with you on the Football front as well.

Let's GO SUNS!!!

Sam Amick ✔ @sam_amick

Markieff Morris signs four year extension of $32 million, I'm told, and fellow Suns forward/brother Marcus signs four-year, $20 mil.

Had the details for the numbers last night but again I was asleep and didn't read the text.

Knew the Suns would lock these guys up. Nobody in the league can equal their work ethic. Again, proud day being a Suns fan. I love our signings. Green is the one I am worried about.
