Is our Thursday game on TNT?

BTW no Durant for OKC tonight.

I was thinking mid-air collision between their planes, but that'll work too.

Poor New Orleans has Joel Meyers as their play-by-play guy.

I don't mind Albert. He does share a few qualities with Meyers--namely the cheesiness and that he's-slept-with-so-many-teams-does-he-even-really-like-us? thing--but he's not as much of an obvious a**hole, and he plays off EJ pretty well.

Yea but half the time Albert has no idea what's going on. He just seems uncomfortable doing basketball commentary.

Steve Albert is a really nice guy and everything but his commentary is really, really unenjoyable and cheesy.

We can say goodbye to our pick from Lakers :(
If they finish on bottom 3, only a miracle would give that pick to us.
Really sad.

We don't have to say goodbye to it, even if the Suns miss-out on the pick this year we'll just get it the year, likely around the same range or higher.

Also, Orlando is on a 10 game losing streak, if LA moves up one spot we'll have a pretty solid 36% chance of getting the pick this year.

Honestly, with this pick I would much rather roll the dice and hope we land a top 4 pick over the next three years, unless we can use it to move up in this draft and get Karl-Anthony Towns.

I honestly kind of enjoy how his mind seems to wonder off every game about half way through the broadcast and he just start babbling away about random stuff. Like when him and Eddie Johnson were discussing an episode from Bonanza for about 15 minutes half way through the first quarter of a game not too long ago.

I think this year would be our best shot to get this pick.
They'll free up so much money, every player in this ****' league loves LA.

Maybe we can get lucky in the lottery, but I really doubt it.

Every non-playoff team above LA in the western conference standings right now is better and has significantly better young talent.

Utah has Gobert, Favors, Kanter, Gordon, Burke
Sacramento has Cousins, McLemore
Denver could potentially fall below the Lakers next year, as they seem to have a fire sale,
Minnesota however, fully healthy with Rubio running the break, Wiggins progressing, Shabazz / Dieng & potentially Okafur could very well be better than LA IMO.

Minnesota, Sacramento and Utah should naturally progress next year as their teams/players mature. LAL doesn't have that type of upside growth on their roster right now.

The Lakers are certainly lightyears behind teams like OKC and NOLA

What young prospects do the Lakers have? Randle? He's not going to mean the difference between being at the bottom of the league and contesting for a playoff spot.

And what major free agents will the Lakers be able to sign? Lebron, LMA, and Marc Gasol are not going anywhere, certainly not to a lottery team. Out of the 2015 free agents class, the best player I could see LA landing is Al Jefferson or Reggie Jackson... I think the whole 'players love LA' rhetoric has gotten a bit overblown over the years. Maybe LAL is a favourite destination for players when the team was still contending, but I'm not so sure about player lining up to join lottery bound LAL.

I'm fairly optimistic that LA pick will still be in the 1-6 area next year

I enjoy Albert's commentary because he treats every game like he's never watched the sport before.

"That...that's a field goal!"
"Take that, scorekeeper!"
etc.

Well, I thought we would be 9th or 10th at this point. Can't believe the Suns are still in the 8th spot.

The remainder of the schedule, if I group them into likely wins, likely losses and toss-ups, I get:

10 wins
8 losses
12 toss-ups

If we split the toss-ups, we finish 16-14 which puts our final record at 45-37.

Then we'll realize we should probably have 5 more wins than we do and we'll all get pissed at all the games we blew.

Barring a trade or another injury to NOP/OKC, I think Pelicans or Thunder take it.

If I had to guess now, I'd go with NOP.

I have had no confidence in us making the playoffs ever since our first loss of the year to Utah when I realized that this team, while talented, does not know how to play basketball.

I also realized that Len >>>>> Garbage >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Plumlee but it took Hornacek almost 2 months to realize that
