As much as the Suns..

But Barkley is specifically pointing out that Suns need to be like the previous champions.... get/pay quality big men.

That is a silly, uneducated, and baseless comment!! I'll leave it at that.
I am such a lucky NBA fan. My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports.

Only a fan of Arizona teams!

Miami Heat are pretty bad this year. They need a quality PG...
I'm still on the fence for trading for Bosh as it requires gutting a lot of our roster.
We could do either, IT/Tucker/Wright for Bosh...
or IT/Green/Morris bros for Bosh...
or IT/Tucker/Plumlee/Ennis/Bullock/Goodwin
Basically a lot of different options.

It is proven that championships are won with defense and an efficient possession controlling offense - not a small ball gimmicky run & gun style. Unfortunately for us Suns fans, I think the fat head is right - this team, with 3 elite point guards will never win a championship.

No its not. Barkley is a short-sighted buffoon who sacrificed a Suns championship for rounds of golf during the playoffs, and late nights partying. He always came into camp out of shape. Meanwhile McDonough has a championship ring and had a big part in building the team that earned it.

McD won a championship in Boston with the most traditionl of line ups. A beast PF/C in Kevin Garnett, a prototypical SF in Paul Pierce and finished off with a sharp shooting SG in Ray Allen. Also add in a traditional defensive, assist oriented PG in Rondo and that is about as traditional of a build for a championship team as you can get.

The system we currently have is not McD's first choice, so I don't feel the need to defend this system. McD I'm sure is trying to make trades and needs a dance partner to get it done.

timberwolves are going to waive King Kong (Miraslav Raduljica). I would be interested in picking up that beast for a look see. 7-1 280.

Barkley got the Suns to the Finals in his MVP year... he could of practiced 24 hours a day and Suns still were not guaranteed a championship against Michael "41.5ppg in the finals" Jordan.

I have a feeling Suns may sign and trade Dragic to Lakers if that pick finishes top 5?

Similar to Jrue Holiday for pick 6...

or wait it out and get it for free in 2016, 2017, but outside top 10 or between pick 4-7

But Barkley was at fault in the two losses to Houston. He partied hard and played poorly, so did Majerle, his party partner. There was no Jordan to worry about during those two runs.

The team played poorly, and Mario Elie was on that Rockets team, the Suns killer.

I doubt we could do any of those things. They gave Bosh a max contract for a reason. Not to trade him for scrubs. You think they are bad now, but you think they'd be better without Bosh, but with Tucker and Wright?

Yeah, Barkley didn't take us anywhere. We got to the WCF twice with the team we had before he got here and only once with him. And that partying killed our best chance when he had the Rockets on the ropes.

That should have been our year. We had Houston beat. Houston's own fans were booing them! Barkley was a step slow. Oligawon was blocking every inside shot the fat head put up, and no one could cover Oligawon. When we doubled, Horrie & Elie would make us pay x3. I remember being so fustrated I wanted to punch a hole in the wall - this is what made KJ's dunk do special. After the loss I remember seeing my brother crying. Then later in the playoffs I see the drunk fat head on TV by the pool demanding a trade - saying he feels the Suns treat him like a piece of meat. FU fat head!!! I lost all respect. Getting mad thinking about this and trying to type on a cell phone!

Not all of our team played poorly...check out KJ's stats in that game.

We should have won game 5 at home though too when we were up 3-1 in the series and Barkley partied the night before and shot 8-22 in that game.

You could argue spurs went to two finals.
And won one with small ball

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! TIM DUNCAN IS THE BEST BIG MAN TO EVER PLAY THE GAME. THAT IS OBVIOUSLY WHY THEY WON!!!!!!!!

Also, cue "Spurs are the bestest franchise to ever sport" and "Pop is the bestest coach to ever sport" comments really soon.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Still with this "small ball can't win" garbage, I see.

So you dont want anyone to rebut your post with the truth?

By eye test and via stats, the 2013-2014 Spurs are one of the best examples of "team work" basketball... X and Os.

During Parker/Duncan/Ginobili prime championships, Duncan was the most consistent 2-way big man in the game.

The Twin Towers Robinson and Duncan (Avery Johnson PG) era, they were the BEST PF and Center combo even though Robinson had back issues....

Today Duncan can still dropped 20 if he isolates down low.... In Out flow is what makes the Spurs tick.
