It's the NBA, so that type of math never works. And yes, Knight is undeniably more value than Gerald. I like Gerald, but he had no place on a rebuilding team. Not at his age. Letting him go was the right thing to do, particularly when you just drafted a SG and have another SG coming over next season. How many SG's do you really want on this team?

I would have re-signed Green to a short term frontloaded deal as a stop gap SG and never traded for Knight in the first place. But I guess I'm just Captain Hindsight is 20/20

Plus you are not blinded by the walls of McDookie's arse.

Zero excuse for that. He is much better as a 2 guard. Too bad we have a don't have a pg now. Maybe since no one thinks Horny commands respect, he should just start ordering code reds.

Brandon Knight has not been good. Eric Bledsoe also was not good last year and look how good he was this season. He's a good player. Give him time. Knight is 24 years old, Goran is 29, just puts in perspective how young he is.

Pretty much. As long as Knight is the floor general there is no way you win games.

He isn't a point guard, so this shouldn't be too shocking. Plus no one else can shoot.

He sure as hell not a 2 guard either, so what the hell is he?

A bipolar combo guard without a natural position. But he is a transcendent pure scorer and the second coming of Kyrie because something something he's young with endless upside. Its only his fifth season in the league its too early for a definite judgment he's a spring chicken

There is correlation, but there are a bunch of guys that are just skilled at drawing contact and getting to the line. Wade, Harden, Westbrook, etc. I hate this type of basketball, but we just don't really have those types of guys, particularly without Bledsoe.

Yes, he has to, at a minimum, develop a basketball iq. I don't think I have ever been more nervous as a Suns fan on a normal basis with a guy having the ball in his hands....I'm nervous in general when he has it, but at the end of the game it is completely NERVE WRACKING.

There were at least 3 games where I said "KNIGHT ALL YOU HAVE TO DO FOR US TO WIN IS NOT TURN IT OVER" and he did.

We draw contact quite often, we just don't have stars. It's a sad league. It's so sad that Kobe is going to make the all star team this season.

Well next year he will be cheap compared to other players who are making 20-25 mil per year. After all right now there are 56 players in the NBA making more than him. In two years he will be on the low end of salaries.

Inking a 24 year old combo guard chucker is very different than inking a 29 year old 2 guard chucker. That's the point. When you're rebuilding, you don't sign stop-gaps. Signing stop-gaps is the worst thing you can do.

But hey, if only we had Goran and Green and Gortat, we'd be swimming in NBA titles, right? How could our awful GM not realize the obvious potential that rebuilding around Marcin freaking Gortat and Gerald Green, a guy who absolutely bombed on this very team the season before we let him go, could provide us.

You guys are the same people saying Bledsoe was a mess. But seriously, who can Knight pass the ball to? His teammates are not good minus Warren and Booker.

Are you trying to say age isn't a relevant factor in how good an NBA player is? Because his age isn't an excuse, it's a reason. It's literally the same reason we're all so hyped on Booker despite his overall numbers being at replacement level. Why? Because he's 19, so being at replacement level is damn impressive relative to his age.

Put knight in Gorans position and he would be a monster.

So we should judge them based on an unusual offensive IQ of our youngsters, who are 2 of the most heady offensive players in the league? Seriously, I'd take both IQ's over Goran's, for instance, who is 29 and is apparently the key to Phoenix's lost titles and would have saved our rebuild while averaging half of what Knight averages and being called out by his teammates while making much more money.

He's a non-ball dominant PG, one who plays best as an off the ball shooter/ scorer alongside a ball dominant (playmaking) SG/SF, like Harden, Wade, Butler etc.

Basically, keep the ball in someone else's hands and let him cut off screens like Rip Hamilton.
