Non-sense.

Stevens is a top 3 coach. The guy took Butler (who had done NOTHING before him) to TWO consecutive final fours. The only two who might be better are Pop and Carlisle.

I think you're right... Stevens isnt even in his 40's yet. What a amazing hire by Ainge.

Noah just separated his shoulder. Who wants to trade Tyson?

The Phoenix Suns played without Knight the other game against the Pacers who are a better team than Boston and were in the game until the fourth quarter. It is impossible to deny how much better the Suns looked with only Booker, Goodwin, and Brown running the team. Knight comes back and this team looks like the worst team in basketball.

If Stevens is our coach we're in the playoffs easily imo. Even this year.

Even the sixers who purposely put together the worst roster in the NBA still play some close games. McD tried to put together a playoff roster and actually put together possibly the worst team in the league. Now that's pretty funny

Not really. This team is playing well below its potential. And when players don't play hard and don't play together whatsoever on either end of the court, that's on the coach, not the GM.

No, this roster blows, especially without Bledsoe and with Kieff in there after sitting so long because the FO wants to help his trade value. Telly and Leuer, as nice as they have been at times, got let go and got cheap one year contracts (no teams offered anything better) because they are not all that good. I like them, but they are not going to consistently help you win a bunch of games.

It's great you think we have such great talent, but imo we need to make some serious moves.

If the Suns are planning on competing next season, bringing back Mirza is a must

The Suns are getting destroyed, it is nearly eight minutes into the third quarter, and still no Warren. But Weems is in the game. Makes sense to me.

Check out Mirza. Only guy with more WS/48 is Aldridge, who has a huge advantage because the Spurs have so many more wins to share. His OBPM is the best of the group, and VORP is close to those superstars.

Maybe close or 8 seed with Bledsoe. Without him, probably not.

Nah. Continue to properly rebuild. Plenty of good young PFs within the age group of our core will be available. If Mirza can't help us 3+ years out, I don't want him back. His value is to a contender for a title, and they'll give us something we'd be better off with, like picks or a promising young player.

Mirza is shooting 47% in catch&shoot situations. Pure non-sense.

You should be happy as it means you could destroy this team as well. Not that it's hard these days.

Over/Under

Steve Nash would average 8 assists a game with this Suns team.

I say over.

Bledsoe would be an excuse if we were playing well with him--we weren't. And you have no way of knowing Kieff is playing for that reason. Hornacek nonsensically plays a lot of guys this year in scenarios that have nothing to do with upping trade value. When Hornacek was trying to win, he continued to play an awful Markieff heavy minutes, sat him, watched Leuer and Tele play great, and then played him again, then sat him, then suspended him, then played him again. Just like he started Warren, watched him drop 29, then sat him. Or how Booker played super well in the opener and then never played again in a meaningful role until everyone got hurt, while guys like Weems saw time.

Leuer wasn't on a 1 year deal--we traded for him and he happened to have 1 year remaining on his rookie deal, which is low because it's a rookie deal. Tele and Leuer are simply outplaying other bigs across the league. Yes, their value wasn't high last year because 1 was unknown backing up the best frontcourt in the NBA for the past few years, while the other had a major lung issue. Neither somehow diminishes what they've done this season. They are better than prime Markieff was by every valuable statistic aside from mid-range jump shooting and defense for Mirza, but overall both are more efficient. Kieff just really is a faulty excuse. The true measure of their value this year will be the contract they sign NEXT year, not the contract they already signed.

From sporting news: " It’s still a team packed with young pieces that have value around the league as the roster undergoes further tinkering." "It’s been another bad year for Phoenix, but around the league, this is still seen as a team whose record belies its potential. "
