Possible, but this team sucked at passing when our chemistry was awesome during the 48 win team. That team didn't share (Goran and Bledsoe took almost all the shots, while Kieff and Marcus took the bench shots). No team under Jeff has passed well no matter the personnel, and despite playing a faster tempo than all but 1 or 2 teams in the league, we still are damn near last in assists. That's with Goran, that's with Bledsoe, that's with IT. Goran and IT's teams aren't having that problem elsewhere either. Our system is not conducive to sharing and ball movement. Not really.

That 48 win team overachieved... Dragic putting up all-NBA performances and Gerald Green putting up 30+ point games in many wins.

I would say the team accepted that Dragic, Bledsoe and Green would be the scorers....

This current team is disheartenned by the selfishness.

Good point. I think Jeff's #1 failure as a coach is his inability to get guys to buy into his role and system. His first year everybody could have just fallen in automatically because they were almost all moving up in role from the previous year. Goran and Bledsoe were far from stars, Green and Tucker were just happy to be in the NBA, and Markieff and Marcus were in the biggest roles of their careers to that point. That hasn't been the case the previous 2 years. Other coaches manage to do it. We're not the only team that has a ton of turnover, and we're not the only team that has unhappy guys. I think people take the number of PG's thing as a distraction. It's Jeff's system, for 1, so he should be able to get guys to buy into it or he needs to change his system, and no matter what you can't let the entire team implode like this. You can't let chemistry get to this point. It's fine to think this team sucks regardless, but given all of the issues we have had and the hand dealt to Hornacek, I'm not sure anybody can say he's done a good job. His system may work when everyone buys in, but it's his job to get that buy in, and he may have just lucked into the buy in during year 1 given the personnel.

Goodwin as PG, took half the amount of shots and put up a lot more assists not to mention moved the ball around a lot.... if he wanted points, he attacked the rim, drew fouls. And he is paid 1/15th that of Knight.

Won't disagree with you there. I don't think any pg should have more than maybe twice the number of shots as they do assists unless there is a good reason for it, or you can shoot like Curry.

Curry can shoot as many times as he wants... he is the best shot in the NBA and the World.

A PG shouldnt also JUST be aiming for assists, but moving the ball... helping in applying strain to the defense.

A PG that just jacks up shots whilst everyone else in his team watch is the EASIEST form of defense.

I did that yesterday and man you just get so pissed with yourself. What a pointless thing to do. And then, right after that, I take my dog for a walk and some guy, while getting out of his car, let go of his leash on his big dog, which came and attacked mine and I couldn't stop it that quickly, and now he is gashed all up and lost any and all playfulness and just seems depressed.

OK, that was off topic, but I felt like he was attacked by a T-Wolf.

That's messed up...There's gotta be some sort of medical fee payment right?

The way to make Knight good is to put him at SG, do not allow him to go over 15 shots a game unless he's having a great shooting game. As a 2 guard from the ability standpoint, he'd be a great ball handler, above average passer, an good all around scorer. From there, you just work on defense. I just don't think Jeff is the guy who will be able to do that. He doesn't hold anybody to the standard of a disciplined approach on the court. It really isn't that hard to get a guy to shoot less/take smarter shots. The spurs do it in like an offseason. Pop simply does not allow guys to take contested jumpers unless the shot clock is winding down. It's the first thing that happens when they add guys from other teams or get rookies. We need a culture that fosters that type of play. We have the opposite.

Now all we need is more balloons from Sarver and McD.....after McD saying "we are only 4.5 games out of the 8th seed" the other day. Luckily that is probably more like 6.5 now.

You've got to get recognized for this epic pic though, so I will mention to Howard.

So, we lost to Minny by 30 points. I would say it's a season low but since we also lost to depleted Nugs and terrible 76ers I'd keep calm and call it just another day at the office :P

Just my opinion, but I think that Hornacek is gonna be fired tonight. I would bet about it.

Did you get any of his info? Plate? You can file a homeowners or renters claim for medical bills if you has his insurance. If you got his plates you can file a police report to get his info that way.

I think he very much deserves to be fired, an I think he's too weak a leader to be the guy going forward, but I think they play out the year.

I don't know exactly what you mean. I knew he was injured quite a bit (it was last night) but today I examined closer and there is a big gash behind is neck, and smaller ones all over. I think he will be fine, and I wasn't sure if it was worth taking him to the vet because it wasn't quite bad enough to where blood was flowing everywhere or anything. I'm slightly worried about an infection, but it just pisses me off that the guy let his dog run off like that.

It's the second time it happened....one time a dog wasn't watching his pitbull at the dog park, and my dog likes to kind of play-fight, and even play bark, but it is always in playfullness, so sometimes, if the other dog thinks it is more than that my dog is in trouble.

I don't know how I'm gonna watch the rest of the season. We still have 40 games to play. This is terrible basketball.

I think they'll wait until the ASG. Let Watson or someone on the bench run the show through the end of the season and figure things out from there.

What's super frustrating is that Knight is, at best, a slightly above average one on one player which just makes it more difficult to watch.

Whereas someone like Iverson or Rose (of the past) or Westbrook can carry the team on scoring because they can take anyone one on one and navigate through team defenses.

A trade or something will help. Usually, during bad seasons, I get excited to watch the bench play more.

But they ARE playing more. There's nothing to look forward too now.
