Miami owed their pick to another team last year so they are unable to trade in consecutive years. Top protected 7 in 2018.

Maybe it's time to turn our eyes to Markkanen.
Oh boy, he's huge.

Markkanen and Ristic will be unstoppable offensively. If Trier is either suspended for the year or a few games they'll need Alkins and Simmons to get buckets. Like what I'm seeing from PJC tonight but he's actually going up against a smaller PG.

Nothing against guys like Johnson, Gordon and Hollis-Jefferson (who were awesome) but I'm liking how Miller has shifted his recruiting more towards the offensive side of the spectrum. This reminds me more of Lute's teams.

Bolden looked good in exhibition the other night with 5 blocks against Virginia state.

he's got a great opportunity in front of him with Giles not being 100 percent right now. Bolden can really up his stock as the main big man on that roster.

Lets say we would land Giles in the draft, could he and chriss be our future 4 and 5?

If you just wanted to go strictly small ball without a true 5. I think both are 4s in the league. A healthy Giles would have enough explosion and length to make up for pure size but he would need bulk. It would be an interesting combo and the midrange potential of both could open the floor offensively but you guys may get pushed around on the other end since neither are huge kids.

Unfortunately I don't believe there will be a "healthy" Giles again. He was my favorite prospect in this draft and thought he had top 3 power forward potential. At this point, I wouldn't touch him with a lotto pick.

No, suns fans aren't happy with Len at all.

I agree. Giles is high risk high reward. No doubt about his talent. He is elite.

Sad to hear about Ray, loved him as a prospect, hope he does well out of basketball, at least as a player, he had all the tools you want in a Forward these days, smooth offensively with athletic tools, and a smart guy.

What's the deal with Comanche and Trier? are they gonna be back at one point? the thing with Lauri is that if he plays the PF and can, he should be bullying other Forwards down low, and stretching when he changes to the 5 or the other team send the C his way so they can stop him on the block, dribbling will be difficult against more oriented perimeter guys.

Ristic is a threat against smallish guys so if the other team sends their bigs to stop Lauri, Dusan should be able to take advantage on the block.

With everyone the rotation that makes the most sense for me is,

PJC-Alkins
Allen-Simmons
Trier-Denny
Markkanen-Pinder
Comanche-Ristic

Not sure what Sean Miller will do, I'd like to see sometimes upperoffensive lineups with Lauri at the 5 and 4 Guards around him you have bully big Guards like Rawle, Allen and Trier to make up for the lack of size.

I dont know if I trust Kobi and Rawle with the ball, I am afraid they might not get enough dimes to Lauri with the way they play, I think both fit better as bench guys, esp since PJC and Allen are pesky defenders and have experience.

Markkanen and Ristic should work really well on O like you said, but having Chance to cover for Lauri's shortcomings should be nice too, and Ristic as a 2nd unit behemoth makes sense, esp if you are looking for a different paced time, maybe play Allen with the bench guys more, and put Kobi as a starter then, since he can really run.

yeah that was pretty heartbreaking I definitely looking forward to watching that kid surprise some folks and be a very very solid pro when he got his chance.

Wish him the best going forward.

Super excited to see Rawle play. He had some issues with his high school team last year at Word of God in Raleigh. Same school that TJ and John Wall went to. I think he was the best player on the AAU circuit over the summer.

I don't like Kobi's game. He had impressive numbers in the exhibition game but I think he'll struggle when the real games start. He's too loose and skippy with the ball. IIRC he dropped pretty far in the ranking from his soph/jr seasons. He was one of the top players Kentucky was targeting then they basically just stopped recruiting him.

I've heard so many things regarding Trier that I don't know what to believe. I think it has to do with one of the steroids in asthma inhalers or something that he tested positive for. Comanche was a skipping class type deal that I think Miller is making an example out of him (hopefully). If he was officially academically ineligible I think we'd know about it. We need him for depth or it could be an ugly year.
