I don't know but I think he would have eventually gotten there with us but Ishbia didn't have the patience for it and I think he wanted to try being a GM from day 1 unlike what he initially said when he bought the team.
I knew from the moment Durant said he wanted to play here that Bridges was gone and so was Johnson. I never expected him to gut the team and completely mortgage our future for the foreseeable time frame (at least a decade) for him. And then he pulls this idiotic move by getting Beal to boot?
Nothing is guaranteed. Sure, I'll say that Durant, Beal, et al offer us a higher percentage chance than compared to what we had on the roster before, but I still don't buy it. Father Time is undefeated and he's coming for Durant and Beal aggressively.
