Its real. Its being reported everywhere.

Chris Bosh has reportedly agreed to a five-year deal with the Heat, beginning with an $11 million salary in 2014-15.

As with Dwyane Wade, Bosh terminated his lucrative contract in favor of a longer-term deal that would allow the Heat to keep LeBron James and rebuild the roster with greater depth. Bosh was a sneaky third-round fantasy value last season in only 32 minutes per game, and he remains a strong draft option for steady (if unspectacular) across-the-board production.

Dwyane Wade will reportedly return with the Heat on a four-year contract, according to the Oregonian's John Canzano.

He'll earn $12 million in the first year of the deal, which means he lost close to $10 million in 2014-15 by declining his player option. It's a bold move for Wade, though he'll make some of it back by locking himself into a contract through the 2017-18 season. His ailing knees make that a risky proposition for Miami, but by restructuring Wade and Chris Bosh's contracts they've propped open the window for a few more championship runs with the Big 3.

Proves nothing, they just used the writer from Oregon as their source. Still nothing credible

People should stop calling them the Big 3. It's LeBron and friends.

Unreal. Bosh and Wade taking 50% paycut to stay with Miami. This is ridiculous. They can sign Lebron to max and still have around 20 million to sign new free agents.

And who is this guy?

if this did actually happen, this would have spread like wildfire by now. It would have been everywhere on twitter.

Yeah, I'm following 500+ basketball reporters/fans/bloggers and literally no one is talking about this.

PassWarden wrote:The more we move into FA the less likely James staying in Miami seems. I saw on ESPN this morning talking about how Miami should sign Jameer Nelson. Really? Jameer Nelson is what's attainable for Miami, and that's supposed to keep the big 3 together?

It's certainly starting to seem that way. I wish I knew how much cap space they are projecting to have to sign free agents and what the other players have agreed to take as a minimum. It doesn't seem like it can be more than about 12. It might be better for them to just go after one guy with all they have. But maybe they only have like 8. That's not going to get them squat.

I'm a little surprised we haven't heard more about Chicago trying to get him. Maybe it's because they want Rose to be primary ball handler. They could realistically only do it with a S&T, but maybe if LeBron says he'll go that is Miami's best option so they can pick up some assets.

Zach Lowe says Houston can get close if they dump Lin, but they may have to do a S&T too to give LeBron the max.

But I think our chances have gone from about 2% to 5% to 10% now. Maybe even a little more. Miami has dropped from about 95%, to 90%, to 75%. If they keep striking out it's going to get quite a bit worse though. Wade and Bosh will end up pissed they opted out if he leaves, unless Bosh decides to leave then too, which could be very nice for us.

Because he wants to add followers. But they probably won't last long.

Not quite 20 million, but you're right, this is insane. Why don't they all agree to play for "free", when collusion is this obvious they may as well not even try to hide it. And I'm sure the Heat organization would see their selfless big three "taken care of" on the side.

They could easily sign Gasol. I think that makes them unbeatable. I got a bet that James wins at least 3 more titles, so at least I get a free meal :D

If this was confirmed, Fat boy Windhurst would have said something since its connected to lebron. Which makes me ask the question, what is Windhurst going to do when Lebron retires? Basically Windhurst becomes useless.

He is more Gambo than Coro. I used to live in Portland, and at that time he was a sports-talk radio guy exclusively.

But then again......

He was 1st to report and no one believed him. Breaking news can come from anywhere.

This would be unbelievable. The year the Suns are major players in FA, loyalty all of a sudden becomes a big deal to these superstars.

I think I am more surprised with how much Bosh would make. D Wade, not so much. He isnt worth more than 10 a year "currently."

@WindhorstESPN "Heat telling free agents they will have $12+ million to spend, indicating Wade & Bosh ready to take huge pay cuts, sources told ESPN"

Simply asking: what could "$12+ million" get them?
