if you get Doncic - wouldn't a guy like Smart or a real defensive Guard make sense
Maybe, but we already have Harrison if we want to keep him. He was really valuable on defense when we had him. It's very hard to score positive on RPM on a bad team, particularly a really bad one....but you can see his rank here... http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/DRPM/position/1
Smart would cost too much and is too much of a black hole on offense to commit much money to.
If all it took was us taking back Parsons in addition to the #4, I'd try to package a bunch of other assets - #16, #31, MKE #1 - in order to exchange Parsons for contracts that expire at the end of 2019.
I love TJ, but I'd be willing to move him in a deal for Doncic. I think he'd kill it on the Grizzlies.

Re: The Draft Thread 3: #1 Pick Discussion
Ayton will join Marvin Bagley III and Zhaire Smith as the first to sign with Puma in its renewed emphasis on basketball. The brand will be introducing their new rookie signings this week in advance of the draft during several activations and events in New York.
While other brands pitched Ayton with their own multi-year endorsement offers, it was the ability to create his own path alongside the re-launch of Puma's basketball category that most appealed to him.
"As I've been in the States, I've seen what they do with entertainers and always liked that," Ayton continues. "I see someone like Rihanna recently -- who is a lot like me, we have a similar background -- and she's putting her stamp on the brand. That's something that appeals to me from a creative side. Eventually I want to be a part of bringing this new style of Puma to my people."
The brand's return to the NBA comes as part of a major investment to sign players and launch new products in the market this fall. Puma has been exceptionally aggressive leading up to the draft, offering multi-year shoe deals to at least six projected first-round picks.

this was the trade i put in the other thread -
https://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/7070388
Dudley or Warren, Williams Ulis for Parsons to get the salaries to match. Williams Ulis are not guaranteed, instant CASH savings for Grizz. If they want long term player, that's Warren. IF they want long term cash, that's Dudley.
4 for 16, 31, MKE pick

Whoa. That is quite an intelligent statement about that sponsorship. I wonder if he actually wrote/said it or if it was his agent.

This was posted on Reddit, not sure if it's real but thought it was interesting they swapped spots with Memphis on their board. Doncic to Orlando would be interesting after Hezonja didn't work out lol. Probably safe to assume this is fake though, just for the record.

Warren/Bender/#16/2019 1st/Bucks 1st/Heat 1st
Id make that trade for Doncic/Parsons and still be ecstatic. Hell, id probably still be good doing it for Porter or Young and Parsons.

Pretty sure he did himself.
"Puma is pretty popular in the Bahamas," Ayton said. "I've always seen the brand growing up. [Bolt] is one of the first people I saw with the brand. It's important to me that someone I identify with and admire as an athlete is with the same brand."

Most likely the legit board...just written on by an employee that works at the arena (Like a janitor) who wants Doncic and is stirring the s**t.
I dont believe they have the assets it would take nor the caproom to take on Parsons.

not four first rounders

See, you are looking at it the wrong way. "Four first rounders" makes it sound bad. We still own our own 1st rounders in both the drafts that we are giving away other teams picks (2020 Bucks; 2021 Heat), also we are keeping our own 1st this season (#1 Baby!) and giving away a non lotto. On top of all that you have to look into the future, how good can or will that Bucks pick be? Maybe late lotto if Lucky? What about the Heat pick? Is Pat Riley going to let his team bottom out? Has he ever let the Heat bottom out? In the past 15 years Miami has only had a top 10 pick Twice, Beasley @ #2 in 2008 and Winslow @ #10 in 2015. While we hold high hopes for that pick and think of it as being golden, its really doubtful that its going to be THAT great of a pick. Probably still a lotto pick, but most likely not a top 7 pick. Our own pick next season? Screw it, give me the two top players in one of the leagues best ever drafts rather than worry about our pick in next years much weaker draft. We also actively tanked this season, something that wont be happening again, specially with Bookers words, the hiring of Kokosov, and what would be 2 of the top picks in THIS draft. Likely a late lotto pick next year at best.

Seriously man, quit trying to stir the pot. Thats all you are doing with taking a quote like that out of context and inserserting a Doncic quote (That i cant find at the moment) and making it sound like they are talking about the same thing.
That would be like me saying, "Well at least Ayton tips people, which is something that Doncic DOESNT do even though he has been a Pro for over 3 years now and has tons more Cash than Ayton!" Knowing damn well that people dont "Tip" servers in European countries.
So just stop. We have already been much more peaceful since Bob left to torture the other team boards, dont need you starting up with this kind of thing now.

fair enough sold - good points
the Suns have 7 first rounds in four years plus a high second - basically - you are giving away half of those assets for Doncic to pair with Ayton.
Chandler, Warren, and your picks - 2019 is protected to the lottery and in 2020 its theres

We have debated everything possible by now, we know who Suns will pick, we're just waiting for the draft. Yesterday we were looking at half naked pictures of girls lol... So why are you trying to be so serious? Cheer up man...
