Listen I love Booker as much as the next poster here. But if you replace Booker with Lillard the Suns are a finals team. Go grab a dictionary and I guarantee you near Lillards name it says " big boy" & " clutch city" followed by " Dame time". The Blazers with a laughable -0.5 point differential should be a .500 team and yet Lillard has them.7 games over .500 as a 6th seed. And that's with Nurk out whole season and McCollum missing 25 games. If there is a clutch factor, well Lillard should definitely be in top 5 with Jordan and 4 other HOFmers rounded out the 5. Sorry for super long sentences with bad structure but I had to give Lillard his due.

Well of course that would be an enormous upgrade. If you look at the Blazers roster, it is horrible before they got CJ back. You are talking about the type of teams we had over the past few years. Like DJJ, young guys like Anfernee Simons, Kanter at C (good rebounder but not defender), Gary Trent Jr...I mean none of these guys would start on other teams.

Lillard is about as big of a star guard as you can be. But when it comes to big shots in big moments no one is better. The only guards that are arguably better than him are Curry and Harden. But definitely he's the guy you want for a shot when you need a game winner.

I agree, his current lineup is nothing special but he sure makes the most of it. I was even surprised he took his team to WCF few years ago with bad shooting starters such as Aminu and Harkless but both were great defenders. Also, Kanter started for their team as well. I always wanted him on the Suns but he's too loyal to the blazers franchise to leave.

I hope he gets traded or signed by 4 teams not on this list so that he can say he’s played for half the teams in the league.

HUGE pickup for the Bucks to get Tucker.

Not sure of the point of trading for Torry Craig when we already have Bridges, Crowder, Johnson and Nader, who are all, at worst, serviceable defenders and better shooters than Craig.

Are we trying to invent medium ball?

Could be if Tucker has anything left. He's been terrible this year but it hasn't exactly been a good situation in Houston so maybe he'll be rejuvenated.

They sure did trade a lot for them. I see they get a first back but send another first out and then give the Rockets to swap a 2nd for a first later if it's not in the top 9? That seems like a lot for an expiring Tucker.

On another note..

The picks aspect is complicated but basically shakes out to milwaukee sending next yrs 1st for houston's 2nd so that's moving back like 10 spots. Bucks will send 2023 to Houston but their own 2022 1st back that Houston already owned.

Getting off Augustines money next year was a plus since he's been pretty terrible this season.

After the Craig trade the bucks will have the roster space and be far enough under the hard cap for 2 buy out guys.

Add: I was a big melton guy and dumping him is probably my least favorite move Jones tenure.

Really? More so than passing on Halliburton?

I did like Haliburton too so yeah that was probably worse. Don't hate smith as a prospect though so we'll see.

Hali is awful on defense.
Melton isn’t really able to run an offense.

I know I'm the only one who cares about Charlotte but this is still a good watch on LaMelo. I'm always a big fan when small markets get top players in the draft. He fell to 3 because teams had no idea what kind of future they could see with him.

This franchise is so forgotten in the NBA world because they've been without a superstar for decades. Kemba being the closest thing.

I think the only player in the league that I would trade Ball for, if I'm Charlotte, is Luka. MAYBE Giannis, but they are so far away from contention that I would be hesitant to take that chance.
Some Nash comparisons in here too.

Some of those passes are Larry Bird-like. Like very very rare instincts, and what's amazing is that he is doing it as a rookie. I like when you can see guys make those kinds of passes in a fast paced play style too...often times with today's players like LeBron, Luka and Jokic you will see them as they have slowed things down and probed the defense but not as much when they are running, aware where everyone is, and do it instinctually....I mean you may see it on occasion, but not often, and certainly not as a rookie, except maybe Luka here and there (of course I didn't watch nearly all of his rookie play).

Crazy how a single decision could change the fate of NBA franchises. If the Wolves took Melo #1 instead of Edwards (who is a very good young player), they would be seriously interesting and more competitive. And if Charlotte took Edwards, I don't think anyone would have any interest in them like they do now.

Mike Schmitz is a terrific talent evaluator, he said time after time that LaMelo Ball was the best prospect out of this draft.

He has nailed it so many times, I have to watch again what he said about Jalen Smith.

This was before LaMelo's injury (obviously). Ant likely wins ROY unless he regresses a lot...though I imagine a lot of people will still vote for LaMelo due to more perceived potential and starting to play better earlier. But often times lack of games hurts.

LA chipped away and then when down 1 with a couple of minutes left, nailed 3 3s in a little over a minute to go up by 8.
