Why would anyone waste time and gas to fly and recruit Marvin Wiliams?

I'd say that bunch has a much better chance to reach the finals than anything we can offer. Wait till the Vegas champ lines come out.... Won't surprise me to see 5 teams from the west in the top 6 or 7, odds wise.

It will all shake down come mon/tues ... Then we can get on with plan B ... Or C :-/

That Cleveland roster (minus Wiggins) just lauded couldn't even make the playoffs...in the east. Suns won 48 games in the brutal west. Not sure how one can logically conclude that Cleveland has a better roster than Phoenix.

Cavs have a nice team 2-3 years from now.

Irving will be the best PG when he settles down and get the right coach.
Wiggins will end up at least a tremendous defender who would catch lobs and run the transition as good as anyone.
Bennett will end up contributing atleast on the boards, he is likely not live up to number 1 though.

I don't like some here just brushing them off lightly...

Their bench could use boosting but they can get their eventually.

They had a terrible coach fit..

Like when the Suns had Terry Porter.... Talented players being forced to play a certain way will be detrimental to their production and impact.

While I agree, something that I heard on the radio helps the suns cause. Basically, if suns do get lebron, we could trade one of the most coveted players (dragic) in the nba behind love. I really really don't want to lose dragic but if meant we had to loose dragic to get love, I would do it. Dragic's value is near all-star level right now.

But Suns will have a nice team 2-3 years from now as well. Len will develop into the defensive/rebounding force, with offensive skills. Archie fixes his jumper and becomes a beast at the 2, and Warren becomes the sleeper of the '14 draft and is a scoring machine etc..... Rosterbating and projecting applies to the Cavs, but also to the Suns as well.

I just peaked in on the Cavaliers board. There is very little discussion in regards to Lebron. It appears that they have been there done that and don't really care either way. I am sure they do care but I think that they still remember the DECISION.

I like their roster and I expect that Lebron will consider returning to them.

Question: If we sign Lebron to 2 year deal with a player option and he opts out after year one, how long of an extension could he sign him for next summer?

I have a feeling we've all been taken for a ride...

The big 3 did this so that the NBA doesn't punish Heat for negotiating new contracts prior to free agency/allowed time.

Just look at the lack of communication from Lebron, Bosh and Wade who all opted out.
You don't see Bosh's and Wade's agent talking to anyone... You have Lebron pushing calls to his agent only.

I won't be shocked if by next Monday, Heat resign all 3 and they simply have a couple of new role players.

When that happens I hope Suns don't panic...
Rather give minutes to the youth and save a max contract and extension money for Dragic next season.

Guys...if the Bucks got Bledsoe to sign a 4/$64 million offer sheet do the Suns match it?

Of course.

Suns will do everything to resign their biggest asset.

Agree. It wouldn't bother me at all if our plan B is just develop the team that we currently have. Let the young players develop, while learning how to win from Dragic, Frye and our other vets.

Hopefully not.

It will be funny to see both Bledsoe and Larry Sanders taking up almost 1/3 of the Bucks cap space while dressed in a suit at games because of injuries though.

My contingency plan for when the Lebron plan fails...

- Resign Bledsoe
- Sign Deng 2-year 22 million.
- Sign Gasol 2-year 18 million, player option after first.

Suns will then have a mini max contract available next year, which they can increase by small trades, to lure Kevin Love. Kevin Love's image of suns would have changed after proving Suns are willing to go over the cap to build a champion team.

Just listened to nba radio and Howard Beck was on.

Key point he said:
He seriously doubts that melo would go to LA. He said it's basically the same situation as staying in NY while losing money.

Thinks that with phx roster it would be the smartest move for lebron and melo to go to.

Said lebron and Dwight Howard do not like each other. Unlikely lebron would consider Houston.

Melo and Kobe are friends and that is the only reason melo is considering LA. But again highly unlikely melo jumps to LA.

Bosh is very loyal to Miami.

Only if it guarantees lebron coming. If not, sign and trade with bucks and rape the bucks for their assets.

But what if no assets are offered. Plain offer sheet for 4/$64. Three days to decide.

We have been put in the mess before with Redd, Tim Thomas, etc where the guy wasn't worth what the suitor was offering, but we felt we couldn't lose the player/asset. Just wondering if the Suns flinch on that type of money.

We have mucho cap space. You don't let assets walk. We would resign Bledsoe regardless. If we don't sign and trade him to bucks than it would be someone else.
