Who says no? Clevland if they really want to go young I suppose. But Lebron would push hard for this trade. New York gets expiring deals and TJ for Melo.

I hate to lose TJ but Kyrie is a legit superstar.

The Cavs probably ask for JJ/Chriss/Bender too, but I think we hold firm.

I might even put the Miami picks in play.

Jeeze, listening to the podcast, and the start to talk about Us around 20 minutes in, but get sidetracked, and now at 48 minutes in are just getting back to trade ideas with the Suns.

Suns in: Faried, Mudiay
Suns out: Bledsoe

Nuggets in: Irving
Nuggets out: Mudiay, Murray, Faried

Cavs in: Bledsoe, Murray, maybe a MIA pick from Phoenix
Cavs out: Irving

Let me know what you think.

Bledsoe and a MIA pick for Faried and Mudiay? No thanks. Bledsoe is a better player than both of them combined, and throwing in a pick as well is just unnecessary.

Why do we do this? Its not like we are trying to MOVE Bledsoe. Keep Eric unless you can get a better player. No point in trading for multiple players.

I think the Knicks say no. Loudly.

Bledsoe/Rose
JR
Lebron
Melo
Love/TT

That team still competes now.

If I'm the Suns, I'm all about moving Bledsoe and other pieces for Irving.

An Irving/Booker/Jackson 1/2/3 starts to look pretty damn good right now.

If the Knicks are moving Melo - my guess is they would want Kyrie

So, move Love to the Suns - Kyrie and filler to the Knicks
Bled, Melo and Chandler to the Cavs

for one year - that team might compete for the title

Bledsoe / Chandler / Milsap + two draft picks (better of our 2018 (top 5 protected) or Miami's 2018 and better of our 2021 and Miami's 2021.

Irving / Thompson

Besides Bledsoe, the Cavs get cap relief (about $7M), a shorter and smaller contract at the C position with Chandler, and future youth in the draft picks

I would rather take Love - I think he is a better all around player

I am open to a lot of players moving. Just not JJ or Book. Heck, I can probably find a deal where the Suns take both Shump and Frye

Love really wasn't what I was asking about. If the Suns have to suffer a bit in this trade to get Irving and we don't want to give up either JJ or Warren then does Cleveland salvage it by dumping Thompson on us ? He has a pretty large contract over three years and he is basically a small center. Would we be willing to eat that contract so that Cleveland could save nearly $30M in cap taxes?

New York could do way better than this for Anthony.

Windy loves the sound of his own voice. Takes 10 minutes to make a simple point.

Windhorst is comical.

Bledsoe/Jackson/Dudley AND a pick. ----- Lowe tells him not to be greedy.

After spending 20 minutes discussing how Irvings bad at defense and at times shown to be a "me first" player, once Bledsoe is mentioned in a trade, Windhorst first reaction is to bring up his knees. No, not the fact that Bled is the exact opposite of what he's complaining about Irving, but his Knees. Saying that Bledsoe cant be the main piece in the trade. Then 5 minutes later talking about for the Cav's how Bledsoe is a great win now piece that fits the team, and how Dudley is a Lebron guy that would be perfect for the team as well. And then how they NEED Jackson incase Lebron walks, to pitch to their fans, see, here is the young stud we traded for, all while ignoring the Suns trading that same young stud, who can go the way of Lebron and walk in 2 years, leaving the Suns in an absolute pit. No Jackson. Thats why we give you the draft pick, to sell your fans, see, here is the player we got with the pick from trading Irving. Part of their rebuild IF Lebron leaves.

I mean if Lebron leaves, you sell off Love too. That nets you a pick and a young player. Then you go into the draft with 3 1st round picks to start your rebuild (Along with a Warren or Chriss). Hell, im sure the NBA will find a way to gift them another 1st round pick like they did with Irving....er, i mean Wiggins....er, i mean Bennett.

Now with Rose as starting PG the Cavs may put more emphasis on draft picks. The Suns pick next year is untouchable for me.

OOOOOOOOOHHHHHH!

http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2017/07/derrick_rose_cavaliers_agree_t.html

LeBron is "eager" to see Kyrie go!

We're gonna have a trade this week. I'd bet $10 that either Phoenix, Denver or Minnesota is the recipient of Irving.

Bledsoe/Dudley/Warren/MIA 1st is all I'd offer if I was McD

otherwise I'd keep Warren and try to end up with a 3 way deal where Bledsoe ends up in CLE and either Fox or French Frank end up here

 Melo is close to negative value right now. So it does not matter what the Knicks want. They would trade him for space right now if they could.

Bledsoe, Chriss, Dudley is fine -Heat 1st is fine

Suns get Kyrie, Jefferson and Frye

If the Cavs want the Suns to take on Shumpert too - well there goes that 1st round pick unless they take Knight

Wind-bag - I mean Windhorst is a Cavs fan so of course he is over-valuing Kyrie Irving.

Bledsoe, Dudley and either Chriss or the Heat pick - that's it
Jackson is off the table

Personally - just might be wiser to not even go after Kyrie - seems the price will be too high. Granted, if the Suns have Kyrie, Book and JJ - I would be okay with Bledsoe, warren, Dudley

I usually enjoy Lowe's podcast. More often than not there's plenty of substance and strategy...good NBA fodder. But that was not worth the time invested. Felt like trying to endure an episode of Dr. Phil with the endless, pointless emotional deconstruction of Kyrie, Lebron and Cavs FO. Then came the vomit inducing end, with talk of Jackson's inclusion in a deal....which then became projectile after Windhorst tossed in a Suns pick.

I understand Kyrie can score, but I have no idea the infatuation with him, the Suns are nowhere near a playoff team with him and he walks in 2 years more than likely, ill pass. Would rather have Jackson/Warren or whatever else you are trying to include. And Booker regresses with Kyrie as he is no longer the 1st offensive option, he would be second fiddle.

The sad thing is, he isnt a Cav's fan, he's a Lebron fan, hence why he became a Heat reporter when Lebron jumped ship to south beach, and he only came back to Cleveland because Lebron did. He is kinda the unofficial mouth piece of Lebron. Im sure once Lebron takes his talents to Hollywood, Windy will become a Lakers beat reporter as well.

I agree. I don't really want to give up much for him. He's almost certain to walk when he doesn't make the playoffs and especially if he happens to be sharing the limelight at all with Booker. Kyrie might end up being the more popular player and maybe Booker is fine with that but maybe he won't like it after being the fan favorite for a year or two. I don't imagine the team would enjoy watching him dribble the whole clock and take 25 shots either.

I just have a bad feeling about how things would end up working out if we trade much for him.

Return to Phoenix Suns
