If Ishbia is being honest with himself - he calls up the Warriors and listens on Durant and Booker too. And if Butler is traded to the Suns - Ryan Dunn will be a Chicago Bull.

Brett Siegel is reporting the Warriors asked about Durant

If we could have gotten two picks, Kuminga and Wiggins for KD I would do it. I mean i know there will be the "but KD is awesome' but it's beyond obvious we are not going anywhere and he is just going to get older and eventually worth nothing. Why would you NOT trade him?

I mean we get beat by Portland by 20, the top teams are stacked and most of the other teams in the mix are just better than us if they are healthy.

Ego is the reason

Ishbia does not want to admit he failed. Plus Dan Gilbert is kicking backside in Cleveland and Ishbia would not be able to handle it

I am not sure the team would be worse with Kuminga, Wiggins and 2 FRPs

Gambo did tweet that he thinks a trade will be made that helps the short term and the future

Trading multiple FRPs for Butler doesn't help the long term at all

Miami will just have to learn to accept Beal and come to the realization no FA is coming to them 2026 and beyond anyways.

Progressive is good. Maybe it can start to heat up soon.

Is a reliable source?

My guess he is just floating something but probably nothing has changed.

The best thing for the Suns is to see how the rest of the West has evolved the last couple days with the Spurs, Lakers, Kings and how they truly fit in terms of ability to win.

If Ishbia is still lying to himself now - fine, overpay for Jimmy Butler. These trades were all MADE so its not like the data isn't there to make a rational decision

I think it's ridiculous he says he won't sign long term in GS. It's amazing he wants to play in Phx that bad. I wonder if GS wouldn't pay him as much as he can make.

But I don't think Miami will necessarily cave just because Jimmy is like this. They may just want to move on, but I don't see these guys responding well to being held hostage. Butler may just be screwing himself.

Perhaps he believes he fits better in Phoenix (I think he would). Or that he simply prefers to play with Book and KD. They might be more in tuned to Butler's style.

This. Butler is a better fit on this roster with KD and Booker than Beal.

Pre covid? No, you suggested we trade Ayton for AD around the same time you were suggesting trading him for Zion. This was after it was obvious we would probably trade him. We only had Ayton like 1 season before Covid.

Was this before of after I called the league forcing Sarver to sell the team, Monty getting fired as soon as the new owner was able and Nurk being a disaster?

Since you like to keep track of all of my old takes....

Definitely before Nurk since we wouldn't have had him yet. You mentioned Monty being fired a lot so you may have done that before and after. Not sure about the other one.[/quote]

I'm sure. Definitely said it.

Was it before or after I nailed Suggs being elite at defense and a great add to a winning team? Think you hated him coming out.

Also, was it before I called Dunn being elite defensively and would be our starter by the all star break? Basically me and GoK were the only ones on the board that liked that pick.

Just curious.

I liked Dunn too - he was #1 on my list. :D

I have made my wish list for the 22 pick:

1) Dunn
2) Edey
3) Missi
4) Kolek

That Harrison is a real dumbarse, how can you let Pelinka convince to lower your asking price for Luka because of his weight and injuries? In my eyes Luka isn't even injury prone and yes his weight maybe a problem but this man always performed at the highest level

Silver is a bitch.

The Hornet 2025 1st is lottery protected so literally they got only 2 1st which likely would be in the 20s

On the Heat board someone posted a tweet that says Suns are taking trade calls on Durant. It's either BS or maybe KD asked out.

Doesn't hurt to ask around

The trade could be
Payton, Looney, Kuminga and Wiggins for Durant

Seems like a decent trade for the Suns - they wouldn't be worse
Looney and Payton are expiring

That’s a good trade. I wish Pod was included in the r trade. Now that we got Richards do we really need Looney if that trade indeed goes down?

I was just trying to make the math work actually by including Payton and Looney

But …
I get Durant to Kuminga and Wiggins but if you are blowing it up ..
Looney is better than Plummer
Suns can waive Lee
Trade Tyus Jones for whatever

The Suns would not be worse

Trade Booker this summer

Granted it will never happen and Ishbia will just trade for Butler

Return to Phoenix Suns
