No thanks Toronto. Enjoy that first round exit :D

Gotta say, I'd like that Knicks pick. Could grab Rabb or Furkan around that point in the draft.

We don't need picks. We need a star player.

As for the Raptors, they are an ideal trade partner for Tele and Tucker. I'd be happy to include both, and even throw in Price (they don't need him, but nice to have an extra vet for the playoff push), but I'd want Wright, Caboclo, and a pick, plus whatever salary filler they want.

Totally - why would Toronto turn down Kieff, Tucker (and Price) for expirings like Scola, JJ, Pat Patt, Delon Wright and a lotto pick? I get why the Suns might - but why Toronto - this helps them

Portland is making trades to take on salary to meet the salary cap floor. So they got a 2018 first for Varejao and a 2nd from Miami for taking on Roberts. Now that makes sense. Miami saves money and is now under the lux tax. OKC saved a bunch of money taking Foye - who makes them better.

Cleveland - you want to save under the lux tax - Love for Kieff, Tucker and Teletovic. You can add Price and Suns will take Mo Williams

Which we won't get unless we pick it on draft night.

A lot of NBA players, coaches, and execs are on their way to Ingrid Williams' funeral right now.

A star player… like Booker?

How do teams get star players, you think?

Fair enough. I'm just highlighting the ultimate goal. Again. McD is not here to help Toronto get past the first round.

I guess there is no reason for the Nets to be bad, they don't have their own pick.

That is true.

Why wouldn't the Suns take that deal? It seems like a pretty decent deal

It would be a great trade for us...Patterson and #11 (or around) pick is good retorn for Markieff.

I think you are a year behind there. He's been ridiculed for the last year by all writers, and likely all GMs for the moves at last deadline...polls said most GMs would rather have Thomas and the Lakers pick than Knight.

My opinion is that we have worked too damn hard to lose as many games as we have, and the FO is afraid that if we do make a trade (even a minor one), that could end up winning us more games and losing out on a star like Simmons or Ingram, thus the FO is willing to just sit on their hands until the deadline passes, and look at making trades in the offseason, once we know exactly where we will be drafting. If we dont have a top 2 pick, then we can start looking at bundling that pick and some players together for a star.

But kieff , I think , isn't he a better player than Pat Patt - so the Suns are almost helping themselves get that top pick by getting rid of Markieff Morris.

If we trade for PPat and a first rounder or just mostly picks, that isn't going to help us be better this year.
