Wow Cosmo.... You seem to be giving knight positive value. Did Myagi put you up to that?

Going to be interesting. Can't see McMully sitting tight. A trade has to be looming.

Obviously he wasn't listening well enough because I still like having Knight on the roster.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

If that happens then we have officially turned this franchise around :D

I am not even trying to defend the trade above or anything, but people there also laughed about Suns getting the 1st round pick for Morris, claiming that assets would need to be given just to get rid of him. That should have been a lesson to all Suns fans with similar thinking (not that it matters, since fans aren't involved in the FO). Do not sell yourself short!

Fair enough, I just don't think the Knightmare is a coveted centerpiece, paying a positionless tunnel vision combo guard/ 6th man gunner a starter's salary is a luxury only a contende can afford even with the rising cap. Queef was a cancer but was on a bargain deal playing a more valued position

Different GMs, different prerogatives. They need a backcourt. We need to get rid of one.

And yes, Knight has positive value. Duh.

Positive value as in he may net you Robert Covington by himself. Sure

I'd do that...he goes on cold streaks...well, let me preface that by saying "based on having him on my fantasy team, and that he isn't a small guard who requires high usage but a 6'9 guy who can drain 3s at a very high rate" I''d do that. I haven't watched him play much but the little I do know I like. Not sure if he can defend but that's not Knight's strength either. Not sure what Knight's strength is actually.

Suns won't get anything for Morris.

Suns won't get anything for Dragic.

Has nobody learned anything?

Bledsoe is. All-star caliber before injury. The other 2 are at best solid starters.

If Lillard didn't get the nod, no way Bledsoe would have even if healthy

It doesn't matter. All-star caliber and making the all-star team are 2 different things. The all-star team is a popularity contest, not a decider of who the best players are.

I figured we'd get something for each. Not sure about Knight though. But I don't think he's on the table. If he plays well for awhile we can probably get something ok for him. Hopefully something as good as the Lakers pick we gave up for him.

Knight and #4 for Gordon Hayward?
Book / Hayward is a dreamy combo. :D

If we could swing Lyles our way that would be lovely too.

I'd rather keep Knight and the pick, though I really like Hayward.

If our pick stays at 4 somehow after the lotto, easily.

I don't know why you guys think Jazz are willing to just gift their core away. Knight is like a more expensive Trey Burke. Exum is returning from his ACL next season to run the point, maybe they want TJ but Hood is probably better as a pure shooting SG with size, Middleton without the D

Because Hayward expires after next season and then they got to deal with giving extensions for Gobert. Favors is due for free agency the following season plus Exum/Hood's contract. All that for the same team that can't make the playoffs, its kind of like they are on a better treadmill then us. They cash in on Hayward for a high lotto pick, seems like the right move to me, at least if they were worried that Hayward was going to leave or if they just want to move on from him.

I certainly don't think they will. That's why I'd do it, because they'd be stupid too. Others think they will because of cap problems or whatever, but the recent trade proposals are hopeful as usual which I don't typically entertain because they are certainly big time lopsided in our favor.

Made a pool on GB about Bledsoe's worth:
http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1438161
Suprised how many people think Bledsoe isn't worth top 10 pick. I guess injuries are the main reason people value him so low.

I'm 90% sure Knight and Bledsoe won't be traded in the offseason. Their value is very low right now and can only go up next season.
Suns should play 3 man guard rotation with Bledsoe, Booker and Knight playing aroung 30 minutes. While I would hate to see Knight starting over Booker, if Devin would still get 30 minutes a game I could live with that. Hopefully Bledsoe and Knight will start the season strong like past season and McD will receive some trade offers.

This is how I'd sell our team to the GM if I was being interviewed (since they didn't interview anybody, my IF scenario is as valid as Thibodeaus or Brooks).

Starters: Bledsoe/Booker/Warren/Draft, FA or Trade PF/Chandler. You have capable scorers from various points of the court. Move the ball til you find an opening. Defend what you can. Score more points than the opponent.

Second Unit: Knight/Booker or Bledsoe/Knight (depends if you need more scoring or defense)/Teletovic/PJ/Len.
Let Knight and Telly shoot all their shots, you have two strong rebounders in PJ and Len. Score more point than the opponent.
