Players I would love to have on Phoenix?

Al Thornton, Nick Young, Thaddeus Young, Nenad Krstic, Jeff Green, Wilson Chandler, Corey Brewer, Marc Gasol, DeAndre Jordan, Carl Landry, Aaron Brooks, Shane Battier, Kelenna Azubuike, Aaron Afflalo, Dirk Nowitzki, Joakim Noah, Leon Powe, Jamario Moon, Al Horford

Some are completely free, some are restricted. Some we have no real "shot" at so I didn't bother listing them.

Imagine getting Chris Paul here to continue our point guard legacy. Who else is a FA in 2011?

I keep hearing people say we should go after CP3 in 2011 but his contract doesn't expire till end of 2011/2012 and he has an option for 2012/2013.

My bad then, I was just going off the misinformation I saw on the board.

Question for you guys (especially Traxxe if he's still reading this thread): Was it ever revealed what types of offers Miami actually made for Amare? Was Beasley ever actually on the table, how did the negotiations go throughout the process, etc?

Mostly, I'm interested if Miami ever actually did offer Beasley or not. Heat fans are confused, because while Riley has always said very positive things about him and indicated he'd like to keep him, our coach, who is basically a pawn of Riley's, is extremely hard on him and treats him like a player that has no future with our organization.

NP, even the NBATV guys were talking about teams going after CP3 in 2011.

would be nice to make some kind of move to try and pry Rubio from the TWolves, though they've said they aren't making him available to anyone. just saying it would be nice to get him into a suns uniform.

Miami played it smart. They keep Beasley plus get Amare this summer. Won't be a title contender but probably enough to keep D-Wade.

Heat never made last-ditch effort to bring Boozer to Miami. Jazz balked on deal to send Booz to PHX, Amare to MIA and expirings+picks 2 UTAH

Kerr/Sarver is talking extension right now with Amare. No way I see Heat or anyone getting Amare over the summer. They had their chance and blew it.

Oh and amare might feel insulted that no one tried really hard to get him especially miami with their **** offer. You never know with amare... in the end phoenix was the one who was loyal miami didn't even want him that bad they just didn't want him to go cleveland.

We had our chance and blew it. Plz don't give Amare an extension. That means the team will stay together and be 1 and done for the next 5 years.

Deal w/ Houston was Scola, Battier and Cook's expiring.

It would've made us better this season IMO, but it's not really a move you make to rebuild.

Edit: "and multiple drat picks"

That would have been a good deal I think.

Wonder what the "multiple draft picks" would have turned out to be given what Houston acquired today as far as draft picks are concerned.

We didn't blow anything because we didn't have to accept underwhelming offers.

Imagine getting that Top-1 protected 2011 NY pick. Damn, that would be sexy as hell.

Battier, Scola, Top-1 protected 2011 NY, and Houston's #1 in 2010.

Amare + Collins + Griffin for Scola, Cook, Hill and Hayes + any 1st.

From the WT looks like the Suns tried to get Boozer, don't know why...He's going to want to be paid and probably will just get close or the same as Amare and if he was looked at as a half season rental they were better off keeping Amare since he already has chemistry with this team.

The Heat wanted Amare but we didn't want Beasley so Miami tried to trade their picks + expiring to Utah in order for Boozer to come here.
