Crazy but we went through 3 off season discussion threads and nothing happened.

Every thread had a trade that might happen and .........nothing.

getting Wiggins for Bledsoe would be a coup. I would think it's a pipe dream but remember that the Cavs were a bit hesitant about giving Kyrie the max? maybe it'd be more palatable to take on Bledsoe for less, maybe 60M for 4 years if they're not scared by the injuries. in the end though, it's probably LeBron's decision. wolves might also be happier with Kyrie than Wiggins as well.

who knows if the salaries would even work , just speculating here :)

He wants the max, no matter where he plays. If we offered the max, he'd play here. If China offered the max, he'd play there. He just wants the money.

hopefully they're thinking "I damn well better get an agent that knows what he's doing so I'm not put in this terrible situation myself"

If I was his teammate I'd be thinking, "We took a 20 team win to 48 wins with him out all that time and he'd rather act like a bitchmade primadonna than cash in here while continuing to build a young, athletic, running-and-gunning team with a budding great coach and a fantastic general manager into an even greater success which would give him and us more attention and earning potential? **** this guy."

Suns trying to steal Wiggins away. Who would have guessed it?

Kerrsed wrote:After all the talk this summer with Minnesota about them wanting to win ASAP to throw it in Loves face and them looking for veteran players in return, i would look to steal Wiggins from them.

They are trading Love for Wiggins/Bennett/Protected 2015 1st.

From there Bennett is getting flipped to the 76ers for Young, making the deal Love for Wiggins/Young/1st.

I would offer the Wolves Bledsoe/Green/Future 1st/Wolve's 1st back for Wiggins/Shabazz.

That would essentially be them getting Young/Bledsoe/Green/3 1st's for Love/Shabazz.

Whats reallt funny is if you look at the thread discussing this on the GB so many people are saying that the trade talks (MIN/CLE/PHI) have been so far advanced that there is no way that the Wolves break up this 3-way, Yet the only thing that is really making it a 3-way is the inclusion of the Miami pick to Philly now that the Wolves are keeping Bennett and trading their own players to the 76ers. 4 team trades very very very rarely ever happen, and it doesnt need to happen here. It can very easily be broken down to 2 separate trades.

Trade 1:
CLE gets Love
MIN gets Bledsoe/Bennett/Green/PHX 1st/MIA 1st (via CLE)
PHX gets Wiggins/Shabazz

then

Trade 2:
PHI gets: Shved/Mbah a Moute/MIA 1st
MIN gets: Young

Is there any source whatsoever that has claimed we reached out for Wiggins? All I've seen is we made a last ditch effort for Love.

Just end this. Suns tell Bledsoe's agent (and the public) - since they apparently cannot talk to Bledsoe - produce a signed offer sheet, produce an acceptable sign and trade from a team who will pay you what you want and give the Suns a reasonable return (Suns give some "guidelines") or give the Suns a counter offer other than a 5yr max by the end of August or we'll make the decision for you. We'll pull the 4 and 48M and you can play for the QO. Place the ball squarely in Bledsoe's court and get out of the way.

This is getting ridiculous.

From what i have been told by an unnamed source, we called the Wolves about a Bledsoe S&T. The media is jumping on that and injecting that it was a last ditch effort for Love, but we know that ship has sailed and we know that the Wolves like Bledsoe over Wiggins, so we are attacking the Bledsoe issue from that angle. Us keeping Bledsoe on a max deal is a no go. Bledsoe surprising everyone and taking the QO and walking in FA is a no go for us again. If we could somehow turn This sh*tty situation into us getting Wiggins then that is a big win for our FO.

If the Wolves like Bledsoe over Wiggins and can get more form us (say Green/1st), that gives them the win now guys that they have been reported looking for in a Love trade and a hell of a lot more.

They turn Love/Shved/Mbah a Moute into Bledsoe/Young/Bennett/Green/PHX 1st

Are we in talks with Minnesota right now or thay have said us NO straight up?

I think it is too good to happen...Wiggins is more valuable than Bledsoe at $16M by hundred miles!

Love is heading to Cleveland. That's not a question. But if Minnesota really wants to win now and prefers Bledsoe to Wiggins, then we could easily get involved in a trade that makes sense for everyone.

Bledsoe, a pick, and Green for Wiggins. We'd obviously have to take some salary back too (Martin?) if we ink Bledsoe in a sign and trade. That's another advantage for Minnesota.

Now Minnesota actually starts to look competitive for this year and they still maintain flexibility and potential going forward with Bennett, Muhammad, Zack LaVine, and draft picks.

Bledsoe/Rubio
Brewer/LaVine
Green/Muhammad
Young/Bennett
Pekovic

Meanwhile, we get the best we can possibly get out of Bledsoe and get the guy we were supposed to tank for all along.

Dragic/IT/Ennis
Wiggins/Martin/Goodwin
Tucker/Warren/Marcus
Markiff/Tolliver
Plumlee/Len

We then also have trading chips for midseason as Martin and Tucker could easily become expendable if 2 of Wiggins, Archie, Warren start to show promise. Then we can either ship Brewer and/or Tucker to a contender for draft picks OR try to get back a nice 4 or 5 that can help us win now.

If Wiggins busts, then oh well...we were going to lose him anyway.

It's not going to happen but I would give up the Lakers draft pick, ours, and Minnesota's as well. That would be an amazing foundation for our team just oozing with potential and guys you would really like to root for. Thanks for at least allowing me to imagine it before coming back to reality.

I have to disagree...in degrees.

There's well over a month to go before anything truly needs be settled. Stay the course 48/4 and be open to a small bump up.

Keep the lines of communication as open and amicable as possible. Just keep probing for a sign and trade. Outline to Paul what the Suns would need in any sign and trade. Let's see what can be found by either party.

If the Suns and Bledsoe come to loggerheads on that last day of September, and he's ready to accept the 3.7m QO....(I know I'm going to get flamed beyond recognition with this idea but,)....knowing Bledsoe is going to ride a QO, I would like to see the Suns bump up the QO numbers/place a new 1 year deal of 5+ million in front of Eric to sign*.

I don't see anything positive in simply acquiescing to the QO's number of 3.7m and letting it play out this season. ...he would leave for sure next summer. The Suns Lose. The Suns are willing to pay him 12 million in 14-15...just give him something a little closer to what he's actually worth. When FA time rolls around that volunteered bonus will play a role in locking him up long term. Think of it this way- Eric accepting/risking 1 year at the QO is just him playing 1 more year on his rookie contract, and then gaining more control on his career path...his life. Even if this unpresidented bumping up of the QO fails to sway Eric towards a long term relationship with the Suns, it would be great Phoenix PR as viewed by all the other NBA players. The future is a long time.

What would the Suns gain if they start pulling offers, forcing Bledsoe's hand? If you're into retribution...teaching lessons...fine, but that tact will not make this team any better. If it comes to QO or nada...take the high road Suns. Nothing to be gained by burning Bledsoe bridges at that point. Make things as good as they can be.

This would be my crazy tact.

*I've been unable to get a clear answer on if the Suns can bump the number on the existing QO. I think they can offer a one year deal, but it would still have all the ugly stipulations that come with the standing QO.

FLAME AWAY FOLKS!

Return to Phoenix Suns
