GOAT.

Those are some encouraging stats. Hes really played well the past month. Some is hes gotten healthy but i think the biggest factor is bledsoe taking his game up a notch. Its taken some pressure off of booker who was clearly trying to do too much earlier in the season.

Am I the only one that's salty about Booker not being in the three point contest? I think last year was actually a very exciting three point contest and don't see it being as exciting this year.

Booker in skills challange is exciting too. Curry also didn't get invited to 3pt contest right?

I'm sure he got an invite. Like all things ASW, it's all about ratings. Curry brings fans so I'm sure he would've got an invite.

Let us remember that in his third season, Bryant was playing with Shaquille O'Neal and Glen Rice on a club that had won 61 games and reached the Western Conference Finals the previous year. Posting a higher scoring volume is easier when you are playing for a team competing for the worst record in the conference. I mean, Tyrone Corbin became the Suns' starting small forward in the second half of the '88-'89 season, and he averaged 8.2 points per game that year (11.1 as a starter). Two seasons later, playing for the second-year expansion Minnesota Timberwolves, Corbin averaged 18.0 points per game (albeit with a field goal percentage 92 points lower).

Similarly, a second-year James Harden was playing with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook on a 55-win playoff team in Oklahoma City that reached the Western Conference Finals.

Booker has, of course, played commendable basketball over the last month. Clearly, he is a very skilled scorer. But in no way would he be averaging 20.8 points per game on the 1999 Lakers or the 2011 Thunder—and he is not going to be Kobe Bryant or James Harden. He could become an All-Star, though.

He received an invitation and turned it down.

From the video description:
Devin Booker is now the youngest player in NBA history with 15 straight 20 or more points games since LeBron James did it twice in the 2004-2005 season!

Did Booker mean to bank in the game-winner?

"Hell, no," center Tyson Chandler said.

"I don't give a damn what he tells anybody in here,'' forward P.J. Tucker said. "That boy was not trying to go glass."

So, Devin?
"I was aiming for glass," he said with a smile. "That wasn't a fluke."

This league is loaded with guards right now so maybe he never even makes the All Star game but OTOH, I see no reason to place a limit on him. I'm amazed by some of the things he does and I just don't think equaling or even passing Harden is impossible. Few players truly approach their potential, he strikes me as that rare player that might actually get there. He's smart, has a great work ethic and he's driven to excel; IMO the sky is still his limit.

"We still had that feeling from Opening Night versus Sac when they beat us at home,'' he said. "They beat us pretty good, too. I think after the game the Sacramento account tweeted a picture of me holding an 'L' in the air, so that was a little bit in the back of my mind. Revenge feels good."

Booker is a killer. I guess this is what they call Mamba mentality?
