If Suns would got Favors to play him at C then what would they do with Len? Keep him as backup or trade/let him go?

Lowe & Stein were talking about an Orlando offer that was Vucevic, Fournier and a draft pick. They are hearing teams are very frustrated they weren't able to make a counter offer to what NOLA wound up getting him for. Shades of Presti with James Harden.

I'd take Drummond for the right price, but I'm not willing to give up our unprotected 1st for him.

I'd swap our pick this year (top 5 protected) or the 2018 Miami pick + Knight, Tucker and Len. That's it.

Fair value given what Cousins was had for.

Its funny seeing all these ultra lowball offers for players being based on what Cousins got, knowing damn well its not even close to the same situation. With Cousins you were dealing with an inept FO and a player known for his short temper letting teams know he wants to stay and would refuse to sign an extension. Very very very different circumstances than every other player in the league.

There's something about a sub-40% FT shooter that scares me. Dude makes Shaq look adequate.

Seems that Magic Johnson Twitter quote about Knight isnt the only one exhibiting bad player evaluation judgement.

If we abandon the rebuild, I like a George, Wall combo and depending on what the Celtics do and how patient we are it could happen I have posted about it before. If we have a Wall, George, Booker combo that would be very enticing to a super star free agent.

But then there are things like DeAndre Ayton who I know absolutely nothing about that nbadraft.net compares to David Robinson. If we have action at David Robinson in 2018 draft. Do you want to abandon the rebuild 1 year too early?

I don't see a combo of 2 elite players (insert names available) allowing us to have the chance we have in the 2017 draft at a top pick. I know if we do go all in hopefully it works this time.
We need more “Shazam!” and less“Heartbreak Hotel”.

haha great find, that article is hilarious.

I wonder if the Lakers are going to shift even further from using analytics and technology to compete than they already were.

Just saw on my FB feed blazersedge said the Dame trade rumor is pure fiction. Too lazy to link but blazersedge is legit.

I don't know man, hearing Drummond is available... I had never even thought of this. I knew the dude was a beast in the post and on the boards, but I didn't know his defense was as good as it is and the dude is only like 23. He has superstar skillset, has he been used right, have the right guys been put around him? He is a force, if it would mean a pick swap this year plus some assets, in a draft that we would miss out on the top two picks, the guards everyone covets... we are looking at the 3rd pick ... a Sf. anyway?!?! Pick swap, Len and not crazy assets (no Bender or Chriss).... I DON'T KNOW MAN?!?! He is a beast and more mobile than I thought!

I really wouldnt look at player comparisons on draft sites too much, let alone nbadraft.net's, as every year they go way overboard hyping damn near every player, making it seem like there should be at least 5-7 all-stars drafted every year.

As for taking on star players and continuing to tank for a pick, i think that the only way to somewhat accomplish that is to cut the head off the snake. Bledsoe is the team leader, he runs the system, the ball is in his hands. Take that away and insert a new PG for the time being, it would harder for the newer "star players" to integrate into the team right away. I also believe even more-so if you also end up trading our veteran leaders (Chandler/Tucker) as well.

With that being said, with the emergence of all these new **INSERT NAME HERE is being shopped rumors.....

Favors- Liked him at one point years ago, but since injury, he has become a shell of himself. Is it really due to his injury, or is it due to the defensive and rebounding juggernaut known as Gobert? :dontknow: , but i wouldnt be willing to offer much to find out. Jazz reportedly like Tucker, so i'd offer him up, but wouldnt want to attach any of our youth or draft picks, so that doesnt leave much to get it done.

Drummond - With Andre i am intrigued. The leagues leading rebounder, a decent defender. I think Detroit would want more than i would be willing to give, but i do like the idea of having the beast in the paint. Something tells me that they would want a Bledsoe/Jackson swap to be included, and even though something like that would help us to continue to lose more games this season while also adding an all-star, we would be saddled with yet another Brandon Knight like contract.

Lillard - Im just going to say this is a fake rumor and move on.

Butler/George - Im grouping these two together as they are in a way the same kind of player, and the same deal. Boston has been busy working their butts off trying to get one or the other, and it hasnt happened so far, so i dont believe there is a way that we can magically make it happen for us.

Bropez - Honestly, i'd pass.

Okafor - NOPE

He could immediately fill a need that we couldnt acquire from this draft (No centers really stand out for where we will pick) and could be inserted right into our core for the future. Im all for going all in, at some time or another we run out of minutes to give the future draft picks we have built up (i.e Boston) I would do both Miami picks for him and more if needed

Drummond intrigues me too. Still very young and under contract for years so fits our core and window. He needs to play with a floor spacing 4 and we have two young ones so that checks that box. As much as I like Chriss and Bender I don't think either will be a great rebounder so you need a good one at the 5 and he checks that box too. There is a question of whether he can actually be a good defender or just a guy who gets blocks but at his age that can improve. The free throws are concerning but hey if he was a perfect player he wouldn't be available.

The problem as is price. I imagine Detriot wants a lot for him and for me the Suns 2017 pick would be a non starter. Now if it was say some combination of Warren, Len, and the Miami picks I might be open to talk about it. You would also need to find a home for Chandler if you make that deal but I think that's doable.

I know Boston loves Pj and have been linked to Chandler. Wouldnt mind doing a deal surrounding a pick swap that gives us about a 50% chance at the top pick, and other throw ins

Also, correct me if im wrong, but i think the general consensus is that Josh Jackson is the best for this team if Fultz is gone of course. Allows for tj to be dangled in any trade

Why trade 80% of the Cousins package for Drummond.

It would be such a Suns move.
