Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Book needs to keep up on his ball handling development so he can be more effective in "Point Book" situations as well as breaking down double teams and iso scoring opportunities.

Yeah his ball handling is not up to snuff for his play style. Sucks he didn't really have an off season to get in the lab. But he needs to be extra special handling the ball to compensate for the relative lack of quickness/burst.

Loyalty to the franchise is more evident on that third contract. Suns would be good so it's not that hard of a decision to sign one, but what about if the team was still bad ? What kind of money would they offer him ? If Ayton doesn't deserve 30M, does Book deserve 40M+ ? IMO it's money only top 5 players in the league should get paid.

It’s crazy how incredibly overlooked this is. His defense is on par with Jayson Tatum’s imo and yet Tatum is the one that gets all credit for being a 2 way player.
Booker is miles better defensively than other counterparts of his like Mitchell, Lavine, Young, Doncic etc.

Absolutely.
Booker this season is the best Booker ever. He is very good on defense and offensively he has no ceiling.

It's funny cause statistically this is probably his worst season in 4 years, but eye test this is by far his best year IMO

Re: Booker Discussion, news and highlights
I'd probably go Mitchell due to my perceived ability to play defense better than Booker.
But I wouldn't want either as a #1, they need an MVP next to them. (admittedly I have no idea how the Suns are as good as they are with their roster)

Perfect example of casuals who still believe in the narrative of Book being a bad defender.
Star players are asking for switches to get Booker OFF them because it’s too difficult to score on him. It’s been like that for two years now.

Re: Booker Discussion, news and highlights
Yeah, Book's definitely improved tremendously on defense. His on ball D is above average most of the time especially. Off ball he is up and down, but compared to where he was a couple of years ago, one of the worst in the NBA, it's definitely not really a big weak point on the team anymore.

He's surpassed my expectations with Paul out, I think he plays really well with Payne's extra pace and space in the offense. Point Book is best left for a 5 minute situational cameo. I think he makes 3rd team All-NBA so will be eligible for the Super Max, which could be the biggest talking point this off-season.

I personally think he's the best 2-guard in the league now. So All-NBA level is fair enough.
Now there are a lot of good guards, point guard types, Luka types, Derozan if you count him a guard - so is he in the top 6 best "guards"? dunno

Paul definitely would have made it if healthy I think. But without him Book makes it almost for sure. He may have made it over Paul anyway. I think the certain ones are Curry, Luka and Ja. Then probably the other 3 are some combination of DeRozan, Booker, LaVine then possibly Harden, Trae, FVV and Mitchell.
Harden and Kyrie would probably make it if healthy all year. I think those last 4 are maybe in order of likeliness, though not sure about Harden having missed games. DeRozan and Lavine could split votes but I kind of think they should both get it over the others and Booker should possibly be 2nd team with the first 3...with maybe a shot at 1st team. Curry started on fire and slowed down and Luka the other way around. Ja has been pretty solid all year, though he's missed quite a few games too.
