Yea but all that said was they have 12mil to spend right? What's that gonna buy? One really good player (Lowry, Gortat, or Deng) or a couple decent ones (Carter, Marion, Nelson, M Williams). I just don't see how that'll make LeBron excited to stay at all.

Exactly what I've been thinking. James HAS to see that Bledsoe-Dragic-Melo/anyone-himself-Plumlee is better than anything the Heat can get in FA, even with 12mil.

I know Dragic is a big fan. Said it made his game SO much easier because he opens up the floor, creates space, plays the pick n roll well, etc.

If Lowry stays with the Raptors and Gortat stays with the Wizards, who else can the Heat get? They need a PG or a C. No other big names are left. Shaun Livingston/Rodney Stuckey/Ramon Sessions/Jerryd Bayless/Darren Collison. None of those names makes Miami significantly better.

Gotta look past it man. Only have yourself to blame for all that promise and excitement.

We still have all the assets and cap space to make our team even more competitive than last season. That's where the real excitement should be.

All this Lebron news was great buzz and got people talking about Phoenix. Atleast we know our FO is willing to swing for the fences as opposed to just sit there. Which isn't something we have seen in the past.

We also have all that cap space, if nothing else, to perhaps pick up assets, if someone wants to dump a contract, like we got Butler and Bledsoe last year. You never know what will happen.

Whats the love affair with Tucker? All i know is that when frye got back we improved. Tucker does nothing for this team. Im sorry, but his hustle and heart do not make up for his low IQ and lack of actual skills. And I agree, Frye's shooting opens up spacing so much. Yeah, it does get frustrating watching Frye get out rebounded but 7 footers who can shoot the three dont grow on trees, their pretty hard to find.

Love affair with Tucker? I didn't mention Tucker. I don't see a reason not to bring him back if it's reasonable, unless we find someone better to sign. He plays good D, he can hit 3s. We need D.

Agreed. Tucker may be a locker leader, but IMO he has very poor basketball IQ. He is very limited on both ends of the court and I think would be a liability in the playoffs because teams would game plan to play him physically and stay on him tight on the threes. Open threes are easy to make, but if he has a hand in his face I bet his percentage is significantly lower. And that completely takes him out of the game, he brings nothing else on offense and again, that would kill us in the playoffs if he got meaningful minutes. If he wants to stay around for 3mil or less, that's fine, but I'd still like an improvement at our SF position.
Would rather call Caron Butler back up, he can provide the locker room leadership and hit those threes. Plus he would probably get the biannual exception, a two year deal.

Can someone send me a link to the report that LeBron has decided on Miami and it is over that McD is trying to confirm? I don't see anything. He's not just trying to confirm that they have $12 million or what the Oregon dude said. I can't imagine he'd call Miami for that.

Everyone is suddenly so doom and gloom on the LeBron thing but I haven't seen anything yet. At least nothing official.

And then I read this, and another score! That's twice

But seriously, our team is terrible besides Howard.

Dang, let me use this power of mine for good: it's too bad LeBron James said he won't be signing with the Suns

In other news.

So either Frye is leaning more towards Portland or resigning with us.

It'll be such a big fail if the suns come out with NO free agent acquisition(s).

With that said I do want to see Len and Goodwin play 10-12 minute consistently.

Return to Phoenix Suns
