Was this before of after I called the league forcing Sarver to sell the team, Monty getting fired as soon as the new owner was able and Nurk being a disaster?
Since you like to keep track of all of my old takes....
Definitely before Nurk since we wouldn't have had him yet. You mentioned Monty being fired a lot so you may have done that before and after. Not sure about the other one.
Oh, I'm sure. It happened.
How about my nailing Suggs as a defensive monster and an integral part of a winning team. That's a guy you hated yes? Was it before or after that....
Or how I called that Dunn would be a monster for us and a starter by all star break? Think only me and GoK had that one.
Trying to keep track here.
Yeah, you were right about Dunn getting his minutes and being much better shooting than I expected. I was surprised, so good call. Suggs was a good call too.

Didn’t Jones trade a 1st round pick for Craig at one point? Jones is such a horrible talent evaluator.
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

That one probably wouldn't shock me as much, however I don't think they'd want to unload the guys they would have sent for Butler for Beal...and/or picks. But I think they would love another shot creator.

He traded the guy we had just drafted at 10th in the draft over Haliburton for him.

I mean.... he did get Dunn, CamJo and even Camara. I get we're all mad no Haliburton but CamJo is good. I also blame Ishbia for the KD heist as he wanted to keep Mikal and Ish forced his hand. Not that much different from $arver forcing us to take Ayton over Luka (IMO).
Dumb ownership sucks. Hopefully Ishbia has learned his lesson....probably not.

James Jones won't dare to bring Craig again.

We need someone with some fire in their belly.

Suggs was a great one for sure! And even Zion intrigues me in the same way that bringing Barkley here jumpstarted us and made us tougher, I'd be intrigued by the idea of trading for him possibly in a buy low scenario! Although admittedly I just don't think we'd have the assets at all now to get him.
But if we were to blow it up and move Booker and KD, maybe using some of the picks from a KD trade could be used for him. And then trade Booker to Houston for Thompson ( unlikely though) or a package of Jalen Green/ Tari Eason/ and Whitmore? I'd just be super excited by the premise of a JGreen/ Whitmore/ Dunn/ Zion/ Richards lineup and also getting some draft picks back too? That'd be an exciting core for our rebuild!.
And since Ishbia seems to love flaunting his spending so much, he can do it on hiring the very best strength and conditioning specialists to keep him I'm shape and optimize him!
The fact we're maybe taking calls on KD, gives me hope. I'm sure I'll be disappointed but maybe Ishbia comes to his senses.
Probably not. Especially considering the best trades for KD and Booker will be available in the summer once Houston can offer up Jalen Green or even Sengun, Toronto can offer up Scottie Barnes, etc.
First, you are correct - Ishbia will fold and somehow get a team to take Beal and compensation and the Heat will get two FRPs from Ishbia - and all hope we have today will be lost
That said, I wouldn't be all that mad about trading Durant now -bird in the hand. And for sure, BOoker would want to be traded this summer. The Suns may not get a great deal for either - but two solid deals that allow you a future beats the hell out of giving up all semblance of a future for Butler.
And if start the rebuild now - that 2031 pick might not be a sure fire lottery pick
One thing that has to happen though - Ishbia would need to fire James Jones

Trade for Isiah Stewart then. He's 23 and locked up for another 3 years. Jimmy Butler would be a massive mistake. Both are hot heads who can add toughness, one is better but like 15 years older and 30 million f dollars more expensive-per year.

Right!
If Jimmy butler were 28 - I would be fine trading for him. But he is not 28

Jimmy Butler used to be 28, trading for him now, 8 years later just means he has 8 more years of experience.
^Ishbia's logic probably

Ishbia told everyone right when he became owner that he was going to go for it every year. Why do people think he's going to go for a rebuild?
Retool? I can see that. I can see us trading KD and others and then looking to add other players around Booker. I don't expect he'll be looking for a rebuild and I think a lot of you are going to be upset if that's what you are looking for.

SHAZAM!
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Kuminga, Wiggins and draft picks (plus filler) for Durant - could be a solid return - would that be enough to make Booker happy to rebuild or would he want to move on. Personally I would still want to move him to Houston
As for why he would rebuild - look at the West. Four teams have better futures than the Suns and they are all pretty young: OKC, Spurs, Rockets and Grizzlies

Lakers with Luka and cap space are a massive wild card. Once Bron is done, they'll sign someone big. So I'd put them ahead of us as well.

Good call - for sure would put them ahead of the Suns right now with Luka
and even short term - like the rest of this year - even if the Suns get Butler - what teams are conceivable better --
OKC - Presti has enough to make a move - probably doesn't need too unless he wants KD35 back
Memphis - they probably make a move
Houston
Denver
Dallas - if AD is healthy the rest of the way and they probably make a move
Spurs adding Fox - they are only three games back right now
Kings - see how Levine fits in instead of Fox
Clippers - made that trade last week to get under the apron to make a trade
Lakers -- with Luka and James and making a move for a big -- probably put them right there with the Suns
I just don't see a realistic path with Butler to even the WCF with how the West has changed in four days. I didn't think it before but now, for sure.

If I was the Lakers, Ayton is exactly who I would be going after. The only available skilled big. Doncic and Lebron will likely be able to unlick what he has to offer. That team would be a lot of O and very little D. It would be very fun to watch.

If kd doesn’t play against OKC…..
Teams are gonna call us asking for KD and Book always, but we are all in. Not happening.
Gambo mentioned it too
Gambo also mentioned early they might make a move that helps them "short term and in the future"
I just don't see how trading 3 FRPs for Butler helps your future. But trading Durant could help this year and the future
It would be due diligence to listen but to have it reported that we're listening and KD has been notified, I feel like this is a different level to random GM calling about KD and us hanging up.
