Oh, I didn't think it had anything to do with cap money. I just thought there was a certain time period for traded players, and recently signed players. Both types can be traded in a one for one deal, but not in muliple player deals until a certain date. Am I wrong?

Houston and OKC would both laugh you off the phone, then hang up and call each other to laugh some more about it together. Thats just horrible for both teams involved and doesnt solve any of their needs at all.

I don't get it why trade proven players for rookies who don't even play thank god your not the GM. PJ3 fell in draft for a reason. PJ3 1ppg, lamb 1.3ppg. Idc whos on thunder a move like that would set us back for years and land us multiple top 5 picks.
oldscho0led wrote:Baseball is all about momentum. Pirates will carry their winning ways and beat Giants in the Wildcard.

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

Do you think both will be up for trades if they are proven legit players?

The point is to take a risk and hopefully they live up to potential.

Both are rarely getting court time if any at all.

The reason they are appealing is because both have the skills, talent and physical abilities... Suns can hopefully play them big minutes to get them experience and develop them to live up to potential... Calculated risks base on potential...

It wouldn't set us back years. The Bobcats tanked last year, worst record in history and are now looking much better. That's one season of true tanking and they're already on their way back up.

Multiple top 5 picks added to Dragic and role players is a good team. Much better than tread milling for the next decade with other teams' castoffs that we overpay for.

LMAO!

Are you seriously listing their PPG and comparing them to Gortats? 1ppg. 1.3 ppg. Look up how much they have played! Its been like 0 minutes! You cant compare their PPG to someone like Gortat who gets 30 MPG. Thats just stupid! There is also a reason they get no play, and thats because they are on the THUNDER! PJ3 will never get any minutes, as Durant takes up 35 of them at SF. Lamb is now stuck behind Sefalosha AND Kevin Martin. He will see nothing anytime soon. The longer they remain on the Thunder, the sooner they will be out of the league. They get no development time and no chance to show teams what they can really do.

Trade them Gortat. He has become soft and disgruntled, 2 things you dont want in a player and even worse from a Big Man. Trade him now before his value is so low that we cant get anything for him and lose him to free-agency for nothing.

Trade him and get young players who havent reached their potential yet. Develop the guys into our own stars, instead of vastly overpaying other teams/players for their built stars.

I dont think all of the players the Suns send out combined would be enough to land even one individual piece you have them getting in return.

To analogize, crap is valued different than money, four quarters adds up to one dollar. While four pieces of crap is still just crap.

Dudley is the only guy in that trade with any real value (and his value is dropping like a stone right now), but you'd still have to find the right team. Neither OKC or Houston seem to fit that bill.

If sac wants to keep Evans(they should)what about
Phoenix trades Marshall/Dudley
Gets thorton
Open up more minutes for Wes to see what he has
Sac was playing good basketball when they had Evans at the 2and Beno at the 1 . Gets rid of one of their 50 ball dominate guards.

To take it a step further. Four pieces of crap is not just crap. But it is crap and negative money, since it eats up valued cap space. For example, it's bad enough Beasley takes away our chances at winning on the court. It's even worse that he also eats up $6Mill a year for three years.

It honestly doesn't matter if they are gonna see playing time or not in OKC you don't trade proven player for unsure assets unless your trying to tank for better picks. PJ3 fell twice in his stock value before 2011 NCAA season he was projected top 10 some scouts had him top 5 then as the season went along he quit outta games and wasn't to be found so his stock value fell into mid 1st. Then he got red flagged and fell late 1st why you would invest in a guy who keeps falling is beyond me. Lamb on the other hand is going to be an "OK" role playing SG not worth the value of gortat. Plus this team is already SMALL as is if we didn't have gortat we would be screwed down low J oneal cant be playing 30+ mins a night. If we do trade gortat it would be at deadline if we think we aren't gonna compete for 8th seed down the stretch and the suns will take the BEST offer.

If lamb was pullin that much value Rockets wouldn't have givin up Kmart, Lamb and two 1st round picks. I'm not comparing gortat and harden or anythin but cmon be real.. we better off moving scola or dudley

I'm not talking about his value. I was talking about the fact that you said he'll only be an OK player in this league.

Lamb, Jones and that Toronto pick would be amazing value for Gortat. That isnt a tanking trade, thats getting premium value for an asset. I honestly doubt OKC would go for it, but if come January they are a step behind the elite... they might. And its not like losing Gortat would make the Suns lose out on anything anyway. This is a ~30 win team right now.

Saw this in another gortat thread
Okc out lamb/pj3/Perkins/Dallas&own 2013 1st
Gets Gortat

Phx trades gorta
Gets lamb/pj3/diop /14 2nd

Cha trades diop/14 2nd
Gets Perkins/Dallas/okc 1st

Okc gets rid of useless players for a major upgrade at c and keeps the Toronto 1st

Phx gets 2 young prospects they wanted(lamb before Houston jumped ahead wanted late pick to get Perry but couldn't reach deal) and an expiring instead of the 17.6 million left on Perkins deal. Get a higher lottery pick for the year of the c.

Value is probably close, maybe add in a swap of the Suns least favorable 1st for the better of the OKC/Mavs pick. I personally wouldn't do it even though I really like Lamb because I'm not big on PJIII and don't think he adds real value.

Yeah, screw that, i think i would rather keep Perkins and both the OKC & Dallas 1st instead of taking on Diop and a Bobcats 2nd.

Diop is expiring this year and Perkins is owed 17.6 million after this year. Our 14 2nd could end up top 35, no way cho and mj try to compete in this deep of a draft.
I'm down for the idea of the pick swap because I don't think Miami has the top record in the NBA and Dallas is top 4 with Dirk back.
