Here is a preview of Devin Booker (rated 72) rocking the new Phoenix Suns uniform in NBA 2K16.

It's funny seeing Nash say "WE ARE PHX" as he takes a job with the Warriors. Cool video though.

You ARE GSW! (wipes away sniffles)

It is a good video. It would have been better coming from VP of Player Personnel-Steve Nash though.

I know seriously. Everyone needs to relax. Maybe this team will surprise everyone in the upcoming season. It wouldn't be the first time :D

I just watched the Nash video, and how he heck didn't we get him involved in the team? :banghead: "We were PHX"?

I mean, it seems pretty obvious. He wants to spend as much time in California as possible.

Who cares. He wants to live in Cali, and is buddies with Kerr. He doesn't know anyone here anymore other than Sarver anyway.

Exactly, don't his kids live in California and wasn't that part of the reason why he signed with the Lakers (instead of the Knicks and Raptors)? Makes all the sense in the world that he'd take a part time position with the Warriors. Retired NBA players take positions with teams other than the ones they played for all the time - doesn't say anything about the Suns' desire to bring in Steve or his relationship with the Suns organization.

Chandler has not been able to speak to Morris yet but he expects to do so soon. His message will focus on how Morris' feelings toward General Manager Ryan McDonough, adviser and former President of Basketball Operations Lon Babby and Managing Partner Robert Sarver should have no bearing on his play or relationship with teammates and coaches.

“It’s not about them,” Chandler said. “That’s no offense to Ryan, the GM, or the owner. Players play for players and the coaches. You’ve got a bond. Management has nothing to do with anything that goes on when you’re on the court. That’s just my thoughts. I’m not saying this for anything against Keef either. He’s a man and he has to go through his own process. But he can be special and I know he will. I feel like all this stuff will be forgotten once we kick off and we’re having success.”

The Suns do not intend to trade Morris. They are counting on him to be their starting power forward and continue his career trajectory of improvement over four seasons in Phoenix. Playing alongside a high-character, former All-Star with a championship ring and elite rebounding and defensive ability could only help Morris.

After a Wednesday court appearance for aggravated assault charges against him, Morris declined to comment on his situation but said he would talk when the Suns have their media day on Sept. 28.

“He’s a great player and I feel like he has a bright future,” Chandler said. “Sometimes, organizations and players go through hiccups like this. I think all of this can be worked out and I think it will be worked out. I think he’s going to have a bright future with the Phoenix Suns. I’m hoping he’s going to be on the court because I know there are some special things he can do with the type of player that he is.”

Wow. Mgmt and players alike are really taking the high road on this.

Then there is Gambo. . .

I'm live in Missouri so the only Gambo news I see is the occasional article or tweet posted here, but that guy just seems like a giant douchebag. Like, everything about him just screams "look at me, I'm a giant tool".

Probably best to go to Los Soles thread about the Warriors being the current version of SSOL, quote one of his posts, and ask the question.

No. Nash's kids lived with his ex-wife (they allegedly got divorced because Nash cheated on her with an ASU student who is his current girlfriend and she cheated on Nash with JRich) in Phoenix. Nash asked to be traded to the Lakers so "he could be close to his kids in Phoenix" (BS he wanted to contend with Kobe). His ex tried to move to LA so the kids would be even closer. Nash went to court to try to block the kids from moving to LA and lost. Now they live in LA with him part time. Nash will never be affiliated with the Suns again, his ROH ceremony will probably be the first and last time he is in Phoenix on Suns related business. I bet to film that video they took their whole crew to him in LA instead of him coming to Phoenix. Nash has no loyalty to the Suns and all his old buddies are gone.

That video is pathetic and makes me embarrassed as a Suns fan to be honest especially given the timing of the video with the Nash/Warriors hire. Suns look like a joke once again parading around a guy saying "We are PHX" (stupid slogan btw) who has no loyalty to the team and even works for another team. None of the big 3 from the SSOL era (Nash, Amare or Marion) will even be affiliated with this organization again the way other teams appreciate their greats. I hate the Warriors more than the Lakers, all they are is a rip off of the Suns that works and is beloved by everyone in the media and shoved in our faces 24/7. Nash isn't going to be on the bench with the Warriors, he will barely even show up to any games. All he's going to do is drop in on practices every now and then and help them out in the off-season like he's been doing with Clarkson and Russell or like Hakeem does with every player. He could have done the same for the Suns, he probably just didn't want to.

I agree that Nash doesn't care about the Suns and that the slogan is stupid, but the video is still pretty cool. It would be better if it was announced by someone else he was a true Sun but I can understand them wanting to have the guy who most people love and appreciate do it. For the record, I like Nash, but yes, would probably personally liked the video better with another commentator. If I was putting it together for the Suns, I might have said he is the best bet for marketing, though Barkley would have been good as well. Best thing would have been a local celebrity not necessarily affiliated with the Suns that people liked that showed their was someone outside of the Suns or their history behind the team.

Nash has never been loyal. He left a consistent 50+ win Mavs team with his best friend Dirk to join a 29 win Suns team because we offered him more money. Barkley would have been a better option for the video, he still calls the Suns his team and lives in PHX.

Mark Cuban offered Nash less money because he didn't think Steve would be able to stay healthy. Why should he have been loyal to a team that didn't believe in him? And at that point in his career, who wouldn't have gone to a team offering significantly more money?
